Grabbed a copy of Batman the Long Halloween awhile back, and read it. The book never explains what Catwomans interest in the Roman was, though I heard that she suspected that The Roman was her biological father, anyone know which trade mentions it, was it dark victory or when in rome?

Both. It's mentioned in Dark Victory and explored at greater length in When in Rome.

IIRC When in Rome takes place during Dark Victory - but Dark Victory was released first
