How come V for Vendetta is considered a "DC" movie, but Road to Perdition and A History of Violence aren't on the list?
I'd say Superman'78 and Batman'89 are my favorites DC movies, but the "Vertigo" one blow them away.

I seconded 89 Batman. Superman II is my alltime favorite while V for Vendetta is surprisingly good.
Once I ignore that Constantine was based on the Hellblazer comic I've actually learned to like the movie.

Batman Begins is 2 hours of pure uncut Columbian ecstorgasm, yes its so good I created a new word.

Batman Begins is definitely the best DC movie to date.

I'm torn between Catwoman, LXG, Batman & Robin, and Steel.
Dammit. I accidentally voted for Batman Begins. :p

Steel gets a bum rep for no reason, sure its not Oscar worthy stuff al la BB, but its a decent enough action movie, certainly not as bad as the others

Yeah, if you're going to have a limited poll, then cut the fat out and throw in History of Violence and Perdition (easily the best DC ever). I mean come on, Newman and Hanks? "I'm glad it's you".............maybe the best scene ever in a comic flick.

You people make my head hurt.
Donner's original SUPERMAN is the best. Even better than BATMAN BEGINS.

I would watch a Batman and Robin/ Kazaam double Feature before even considering viewing Steel.

Donner's Superman pretty much created the idea of a viable big screen superhero movie.

Batman: Mask of the Phantasm.

Batman: Mask of the Phantasm.
I agree.
And I was disappointed by Batman Begins. Too much time spent on his origin and way too much time spent on the origin of his equipment. Katie Holmes wandered onto the wrong set. Scarecrow was unimpressive. Christian Bale was an interesting choice for Batman, but he didn't sell me on his Bruce Wayne, and his chipmunk cheeks looked wrong with the Bat mask. The fight scenes were so heavily edited that they might as well have been left out completely. The gas threat part of the script must have been changed repeatedly during production, judging by the plot holes involved.

BLASHPHEMY! No, seriously, Superman: The Movie isn't the better movie.

What he said.

There's nothing blasphemous about saying that. SUPERMAN is widely recognized by thousands of critics & film buffs as THE classic superhero film. Donner achieved a film that featured iconic imagery while weaving religious metaphors with a celebration of Americana.
And I'm saying that as a HUGE BATMAN BEGINS fan.

I got the list from here (http://xoomer.alice.it/amasoni2002/shl/indexdc.htm) .... I'm not sure why they're not on the list .. Road to Perdition would be in my top ten ... A History of Violence wouldn't ... didn't like it.
Batman Begins is 2 hours of pure uncut Columbian ecstorgasm, yes its so good I created a new word.
Quoted for truth!!!
Return of the Joker, Batman '89 and Batman: Mask of the Phantasm are strong candiates for the top spot.

I put Mask of the Phantasm on par with Begins. I love them both so much, I can't pick between them.

Superman: The movie was great up until the part he reversed time by spinning the earth backwards - want to know what would really happen if Supes decided to spin the world backwards? - time travel would not be it.

As far as quality of film is concerned, not to say that Superman is bad or anything, but I feel that Perdition is a far greater film. The performances alone beat Donner's Supes.
