View Full Version : Batman/Grendel!!!!!
In the Dark Horse solicitations there is a new compilation for BOTH Batman/Grendel miniseries.
All I can say is that it's ABOUT TIME.
Love both series and can't wait to get my hands on it.
Wagner+Batman+Grendel= excellent. It made my day.

Agreed, the Batman/Grendel books rocked.
I don't know about one of the series, but the books i have with the 2 are awesome!!! drawn by Wagner, of course!

The first Batman/Grendel crossover is the real draw here, in my opinion. It pits Batman against his true "opposite side of the coin" in Hunter Rose. Fantastic story. The Prime crossover doesn't move me as much. Prime is just too bad-ass for modern day Gotham City, although Bats gives as good as he gets. Still a good story-- the idea of Hunter Rose's skull as a holy relic in the Grendelverse's future is great-- but not as good.

the first is a great standalone story while the second is great and I really love how it ties in to DEVIL QUEST and Four Devils, One Hell

Hunter Rose Grendel was the perfect nemesis for Batman. Smart , calculating and lethal. Forget Prometheus , forget bane , forget Joker , Hunter Rose was, as mentioned , the flip side of the same coin as Bruce Wayne.

Forget that Miller guy, Wagner is the definitive Batman creator.
