He will be the one possibly responsible for the saving of the earth in the time of the Fifth Host. Is this true? 1000 years from the last time, that makes it, what, since the last time?

Are you referring to the What If? issue cited? If so, that didn't have anything to do with the Fifth Host. It was a "What If the Avengers Failed to Stop the Evolutionary War?" issue- the Evolutionary War being a story arc that ran in the Annuals of several different titles. The premise was that the High Evolutionary was trying to evolve mankind to its ultimate state (like the superpowerful form he once became when he placed himself in his evolver machine).
The plan consisted of several different stories- things like attempting to eliminate the evolutionary dead-ends of the Moloids (who, it turned out, had actually begun to generate mutants- a storyline that, to my knowledge, was never again acknowledged), capturing mutants to study their genetics, reinvigorating the (then) destroyed Savage Land, etc.
The HE's Evolutionary Bomb, which would have accomplished his deed, was stopped by a ragtag group of Avengers (the Avengers had been disbanded at this point, so only some reserves assembled)- the Captain (Captain America had resigned his uniform and name at the time), Beast, Gray Hulk, a revived-solely-for-this-storyline Jocasta, Hercules, the Falcon, and Yellowjacket (Rita DeMara- who had mistakenly been summoned due to possessing the original Yellowjacket's helmet).
Long story short(er), the What If? assumed they didn't stop the bomb, and all of the earth's races mutated and evolved into superpowerful forms. The Celestials came to judge them and Arishem was annihilated by the humans. Some of the people formed a Uni-Mind and left the planet, some others (maybe just one? Can't recall.) merged themselves with the planet to create a new biosphere and new life. In the end, the High Evolutionary was left all alone on the reinvigorated earth to ponder how he was so successful that he'd caused himself to be left behind.
Anyway, it was just an alternate universe, and was nothing to do with the Fifth Host.
thanks Cdrew. :)
I know, but what I'm gathering (and this is all from wiki, so..)is that, in current 616 timeline, the time of the 5th Host is still yet to come. And, in this, What if? storyline the unimind and all that is what happened when earth came to judgement by the Celestials. Since Marvel does not have the conundrum of DC like thier Crisis, I was thinking that this might actually come to be, and how, since it's my gathering that the order of the Marvel U, is so:
The One-Above-All (Marvel itself)
The Living Tribunal
Celestials
Watchers
Eternals/Deviants
Galactus, Mephisto, The Norse Gods, etc..(various lesser cosmic entities)
Basically the known characters of the marvel u.
So, with this order, and the way that Apocalypse and Mister Siniser seem to be genetically manipulating like the whole of the Marvel U. I was thinking what if they were not happy with the way mankind is working out? Not many would be able to save earth from some of the most powerful beings in the universe, right?
That, imo, would lead up to the very real possibility of the What if? Story having to become real to save Earth from the time of the Fifth Host, if everything I got from Wiki, is said to be true.
Minor data point:
The Celestials empowered Poccy, and haven't called in their marker yet.

He means the X-villain Apocalypse. I personally hate the Celestials; they bascially decided to play god and hold up all other races to their own standards and then kill them when they don't match up. They are infinitily worse than the Illuminati and I hope that one day they all get torn to shreds for being such jackasses.
Sorry, yes, I did mean Apocalypse. The Celestials upgraded him, and he empowered Mister Sinister (who inspired the High Evolutionary), so it's possible that they don't mind....

oh thanks! :) but if the Celestials were destroyed, I would think the domino effect would be catyclysmic(sp) for the rest of the marvel u.Sorry, yes, I did mean Apocalypse. oh, and thanks for more info mdg! :) I didn't know that stuff. hmmm.... So the big A was empowered by the Celestials themselves!!! O.O Geez!! By that logic, he should be basically more powerful than the Silver Surfer, Galactus, Mephisto, Thanos, basically anyone other than them, if they empowered him a lot. The x-men should not be the only ones afraid of him then.

"Empowered" is a vague sort of word. If they made him 0.001% stronger, they technically empowered him.
Personally, I can't stand Apocalypse. He was all right in X-FACTOR, but he's become an embarrassment (plus, he just looks silly when anyone but Unca Walt draws him).

What have those self-involved jerks ever do for anyone? I mean, how do they really matter at all to anyone

oh, i guess that's true. :) *didn't think about that* and LOL! :D Yeah, the big A is a throwback.

I dunno. I guess they kinda follow their own rules, ya know. I mean, genetically manipulating folks from galaxies all over has to be kinda fun, right?!?! Maybe like some big science experiment or something?? And The Living Tribunal is the Science Fair Judge? :D
