I am a computer idiot and do really know how to do much beyond changing and resizing avatars.

So who does one go about posting a pic with your posts?

Do you mean from your hard drive or from another website?

My suggestion. Create an account with something like photobucket (http://photobucket.com/).

It's free. Upload the pic there.

They give you four things you can just copy and paste, one of which is an image tag for inserting into the forums.

Hard drive
You can't "post" pics from your hard drive. You can only attach them. They then show up as attachments. Not as embedded images (unless they're extremely small).

As C&C suggests, your images need to be already hosted on a website in order to appear embedded within your posts. Use Photobucket.com or a similar site. You can then just cut and paste the image's URL address (which you'd otherwise need to enter into the 'Insert Image' tool).

Okay did that

But my cut and paste options are light grey and will not let me use them.
