Morning All
I was thinking at tangents this morning - I haven't actually read any Back in Black stuff yet (am tradewaiting) but have a number of questions that I need answering:
1. When he got it from the top of the building, it must have stank. Was this not a major concern for Pete.
2. Surely he only has one costume given his current resources. How does he keep it clean?
3. Having done my laundry for many years, I struggle with colours and find that black in particular tends to fade. How come after all these years it isn't the 'Grey' costume?
4. Would the colours not run between the black and the spider?
I NEED ANSWERS.

Because I only read FNSM it didnt explain how he got his black costume, so its not a symbiote at all? its just spidey in a black cossie that resembles his symbiote one?

Yeah. He wore a black costume for a long time once upon a time. Now he's wearing it again because he's angry.
No symbiote.

He really shouldn't be angry. His detergent clearly brings remarkable cleaning power to the fore.

Didn't he burn the black costume he had after his first fight with Venom because MJ was terrified of it?

We just had a thread on this, it seems, but yeah. He wore another in the Sub City saga, which he may have still had. Or he could've just made a new one or had a new one made.
The first was just sewn by Black Cat. And Pete used to work on his own suits before he finally found a woman to do it.

I just re-read those issues today, and in it he says that he got the costume made by the fantastic four's tailor.

The official line is that originally his webbing lasted indefinitely but he engineered it to dissolve so criminals wouldn't be stuck on lamp-posts et al.
So in this case he used a batch that lasts longer to hide the black costume.

Then THAT means its probably unstable molecules. That helps explain the condition a LOT.

Which is pretty much crap.
1) its been long established that it wasn't indefinite. He tried to sell the formula, but nobody wanted a "temporary" adhesive. Considering the money problems and Aunt may's Medical bills there were a LOT of times he despretly needed the cash.
2) WHY would he hide it on the side of a building? He has a closet for that kind of thing. Or in a box in the attic. That's just dumb to leave stuff like that hanging on the side of the building.
3) on a similiar note, if it WAS permenant webbing.... Then there should STILL be scraps of it hanging all over the costume. He wouldn't be able to pull all the bits off
The storyline is fine, he should have just pulled a box out from under his bed to get his new costume...

the reason it isnt in his house is 1) it scares MJ and if she is cleaning and finds it she would freak and 2)she would associate it w/ black cat and peter wouldn't get any pie

It is a comic universe, things do not have to be so realistic, it is an action comic, and things like smell and fadings would make the story cheesy, it is like in video games, for example in Soul Calibur, you slice a guy with a sword, but his arm is still there, it is one of those things you just need to live with.
