Just picked up the preview, and it looks like this will be another good book by Garth Ennis. Admittedly, the main character seems like The Saint of Killers all over again, but that's fine with me. The gritty artwork and dialogue fit the western theme very well.

I don't want to get this, 'cause th cover price is in the realm of over-much for me.. but I do like westerns, I did like ennis's preacher/saint of killers, and, sigh, I DID like this preview issue. Alright, alright--I'll give it one issue to catch me up. and then maybe another issue to justify its cover price. And maybe the next if it can do all that. And then....
uh-oh.

I thought the first issue was pretty boilerplate, but the second issue that came out this Wednesday (10/31) broke away from that a bit. The second issue gives us a better look at Joseph Dunn and I think a considerably more human one than the Saint, warts and all. Morrison also shows himself to be more than your standard "evil railroad" baron and a more direct antagonist is introduced. All in all, better than the first, if seemingly still predictable. A full review is posted over there (http://madbastard.hypersites.com/site/page/pg3365-pn_Streets_of_Glory_2.html).

What's with that awkward scent in your paper. At first, I found it unsettling, but now it is as refreshing as the stories in the Avatar books I pick up, but still, there are times when it takes me by surprise. Is it in the paper you use?
No biggie. Just curious. Cheers.
