I bought a bottle of Sauvignon Blanc recently... I chose it solely on the name on the label, the wine-maker.
Alan Scott.

Enh, wasn't that great though.
I do wonder what a Guy Gardener chardonnay would be like... probably be as bad as an Australian wine.

Is the poor little New Zealander bitter because our wine is much better tasting and selling (worldwide) than New Zealand wine?

Not quite as bitter as aussie wine, anyway.

New Zealand might not make good wine, but they gave us Flight of the Conchords, so all is forgiven!

We make good wine!!!

Actually, I know one of those Conchord guys... the one with the glasses... not well, but had a drink with him once or twice with some friends

Oddly enough, I can't remember whether we drank wine or not....

I enjoy wine every now and again, but when I want a really good drink, I bust out my twenty-one year old Macallan scotch. That's my Mouse Guard drink, so good I can only enjoy it every once in a while. Or, it's so good, I only share it with really good friends I can trust, just like my Mouse Guard hardcover.

Then there's the beer I drink. Stone's Arrogant Bastard Ale. It's great, but I know it's not for everyone. So I let people try it and see if they'll like it, knowing most of 'em won't, because they're used to crap like Miller or Budweiser. It's like lending The Spirit to people who usually just read Justice League of America or Mighty Avengers. And then there's the beer I only drink on special occasions because they're only brewed and released on special occasions, like Dogfish Head's 120 Minute IPA, or Stone's Vertical Epic. Those are my All-Star Superman beers.

They do have some very good wine's Brian, though it's possible they just don't export as much - lot's of countries/regions have started to get a lot better over the years, so there's lots of competition.
