Every once in a while, I like to make an MP3 CD with all the best music to get pumped up for a fight to. Whether due to the beat, the lyrics, the style of music, assocation with a particular scene in a movie, or whatever, the best stuff to get the adrenaline rushing to. Just an example of how varied these CDs can be, I could be listening to Respect by Pantera one minute, Wong Fei Hung's theme from Once Upon a Time in China the next, slip into this corny rap version of the Street Fighter II theme, and the next track will be Natural Born Killaz by Dre and Cube.

So, my question is, any suggestions for my next version of the CD?

Celine Dion's voice makes me want to hurt people.

Also, Fight Club and Kill Bill's soundtrack.

A healthy dose of Meshuggah's Destroy, Erase, Improve followed by Acid Bath's When The Kite String Pops. If that don't get your blood pumpin' you might need to check your pulse.

Looking at Justin Timberlake and Fred Durst make me want to fight, while their music acts as a laxative.

Celine Dion, Fred Durst, Michael Bolton, and the Dashboard Confessional are almost guaranteed to drive anyone into a homicidal rage.

That said I find that aggressive music like the Sex Pistols, Black Flag, Refused early Clash, the Stooges, the Dead Boys, etc. actually has a calming effect on me. No really. If I am not soothed by "Holidays in the Sun" then you can bet your dollar that I will be by "God Save the Queen."

I got $10 that says Carabba can take out Crocker's Canadian bacon.

one that will ALWAYS give me goosebumps, and pumps me up is Eye of the Tiger, by Survivor, and Gonna Fly now is good too...hell, the entire Rocky 4 soundtrack is good.

Suicidal Tendencies : You Can't Bring Me Down...if this song doesn't get your blood pumping, you're dead. It's one of the songs I almost always listen to while beating the crap out of my punching bag.

Pantera : Mouth For War
Slayer : War Ensemble
Rage Against the Machine : Renegades of Funk
any AC/DC works, but I'll go with Thunderstruck
Corrosion of Conformity : Vote with a Bullet, or White Noise

Edit: I'm very surprised noone has used Suicidal Tendencies :You Can't Bring Me Down, for a fight Highlight yet...at least that I know of.

Yeah, it is a good album...and Hey! Eye of the Tiger is a great song too...totally different, but still good...and it's Rocky approved, so you know it has to be good.

Something similar that I do is make playlists to accompany first-person-shooter games. The number one song for that purpose has to be The Real Folk Blues, the closing theme from Cowboy Bebop.

I'm a peaceful person, but if I ever need to throw down with someone, I hope "Duel of the Fates" from the STAR WARS: EPISODE I soundtrack is playing in the background. :)

That tune often plays in my head as I'm negotiating through the freeways of Southern California.

Most folks get buck listenin' to the likes of Crime Mob, lil' Scrappy, & Trillville.

But, me, personally, throw in Triple Bitch Mafia by Playa Fly.

Even better, Escape, by Rupert Holmes. But you have to see the movie Dirty Work to get that joke.

Bjork's "Army of Me" is something I like to listen to when I'm weightlifting. It puts me in a particularly nasty mood for some reason.

Yes, Bjork.

"And if you complain once more, you'll meet an army of me."

Good song but I'd go with either Back in Black or Problem Child--or a couple of obvious ones like TNT and This Means War.

And oh yeah, why hasn't anyone mentioned Motorhead's Ace of Spades yet?

D12 has a song called Fight Music, if you're interested and Eminem's actually used the phrase in songs a bit.

In My Eyes - either Minor Threat or Rage Against The Machine
Coptic Times - Bad Brains

heck, most things by any of these bands are good "fight" music.

Can't Get The Best of Me - Cypress Hill

There is no better fight music than The Pogues.
I particularly recommend 'Sick Bed of CuChullainn' and 'Boys from County Hell'. But so much of it is great fight music.
Especially great BAR fight music.
Especially great DRUNKEN bar fight music.

Does your mother sew?
Well STITCH THIS, then!

Agreed. Nothing pumps me full of ass-kicking adrenaline more than S.T. Although I prefer S.T.'s Suicyco Muthafucka over You Can't Bring Me Down.

Hearing Barbara Steisand makes me want to run and kick her teeth in. :D

But albumwise I would say Ministry - Psalm 69

Songwise I would say Prodigy - Smack My Bitch Up.
