Three questions about the recent Amazing Spider-man

1) Why is Spider-man back in the black suit? Is it the symbiote or just a standard black constume? Whats the purpose behind it?

2) How did he get the symbiote/black suit back? Did he make a black suit or did he go out and get back the symbiote?

3) Does this mean Mac Gargan doesn't have the symbiote anymore?

I haven't been keeping up on it recently and I found out about this happening and would like to know more about it. I appreciate any answers.

Spider-Man is wearing a black suit. Last I checked, Gargan still had the symbiote. Pete's wearing this outfit for symbolic purposes because he's very angry Aunt May was just shot and out for revenge.

He wore an ordinary black suit for a while after getting rid of the symbiote. His first was sewn by the Black Cat as a gift. He stopped wearing it after his first encounter with Venom because MJ found it traumatic

It may have been the costume he had the Fantastic Four make back in Spider-Man #13.

I seem to recall Spider-Man destroying the black costume in Amazing Spider-man #300.

1. The suit is just a standard black costume. He is wearing it because he is wanted and has an angry life.

3. Mac Gargan still has it. The costume Pete is wearing is not a symboite either!:)

Is that right? I don't have the issues handy to check, but I thought it was after Kraven impersonated him in Last Stand.

No. It got another 7 issues. Issue 300 is definitely the return to the original.

Yeah you guys are right about him getting rid of the black suit. In #300 he tosses it in the fire and then MJ gives him his original costume and the issue ends with Peter swinging away in the original spider-man suit.

Still I do wonder where he got this new one from. I can sorta tell its new since on his hands the white rectangle is now a white triangle were the webbing comes out.

Oh ok thanks Cyberman. I mainly follow The Amazing spider-man with some Web of Spider-man and its a little hard to follow all the hundreds of Spider-man series ranging from Peter Parker Spider-man to Ultimate Spider-man to Spider-man loves Mary Jane (or something like that).
