There's an issue of either Superman or Action Comics (I think it's the latter) comig up called the "Jimmy Olsen Countdown Dossier," or something, which is supposed to reveal shocking secrets about Jimmy's past. Odds are, he's a New God.

I think it'll wind up being a way to bring the goofy Silver Age Jimmy Olsen stories back where he gets new superpowers every week, but by making it something mythological in the DCU instead of one zany accident after another.
