Who should be a "new" new x-man

What existing Marvel character should be enrolled into Xaviers? Do they have to be mutants or can it be any kid with extraordinary powers? I always thought Alex/Julie Power would be interesting and rise them above the "kid" status the Power Pack was always stuck in.

Well, Julie's already in The Loners. And Alex is supposedly in The Initiative.

Jack (14+) or Katie (11+) would be more likely choices, since they're not being used.

Of course neither are mutants, so there would need to be a good reason for them joining.

I love Molly, but much prefer her on the Runaways. Perhaps the X-Men team is in her future (X-Men, not New X-Men)...but for now she's great where she's at. I'd rather have someone who's either not used, not created yet, or used sorely join the team.

Not a lot of "kid mutants" left out there. Kiden, Catiana, Leech...

Out of all those Kiden would be rockz! But I think Catiana would be a good fit too. Wolf Cub would have such a crush on her. Plus, Latina X-Men are always a plus.

Kiden, honestly, is the last person I want to see in this title.

I think time-travel powers work best in self-contained short stories, like NYX. I honestly wasn't too impressed with her character though the story was alright. I do think it would be interesting to see if Nori ever encountered Kiden during her times in the streets of New York.

I'd like to see a bridge gapped between Morrison's New X-Men and N&C's New X-Men, but the most we'll probably get is the depowered Beak and Wind Dancer (and Ernst and Martha just don't count lol). If there is any kind of repowerment during the impending crossover, I definitely want to see the likes of Slick, Tattoo, and Angel back at the Institute.

Reminds me..how about Murmur from Alpha Flight vol two? I'd like to see her stucky up prissy ass on an X-kiddie team as the resident sexy chick (though X-23 kinda does it for me at times).

Now a team led by Shaw could be fun as a Hellion-type rivalry where the New X-Men may be try salvation at the first few battles & then just go hardcore on each other in battle.

Having Kid guest spot would be decent! Faded has an apt point about her...but awesome news on the vol two stuff as well! Looking forward to it CRG.

I don't think there is any way he'd be 15. He and Artie were always way younger than the rest of the X-Terminators/X-Factor wards, and they were portrayed as Franklin Richards' contemporaries in Generation X, they'd be pre-teens or tweens, not 15 yet.

I think it would be interesting to have the New X-Men take in a kid who isn't a mutant but has powers anyway. Having a non mutatnt around be great, possiblely leading into stories about the harm cause by the "us vs. them" mentality the remaining mutants seem to have. And it would get under Emma's skin. And of course there's the question of registration.
