I got his idea fron the Superman Doomsady DVD coming out. Is there an arc from the comics youd like to see?
Id love to see
Batman year one

Any of those would be so cool to see on the animated screen

The Killing Joke would be awesome. No way in hell that they'll make it though. Still...I'd poop my my pants if they did. (assuming this is Timmverse)

if we're talking timmverse:
year one
no mans land
Why is everyone mentioning Timmverse? He said it's be like the Doomsday movie...which isn't Timmverse.

Since the writing in the Timm/ Dini/ MacDuffy shows was usually very superior to the one in comics, I don't understand at all why they should waste their talents with animating stories we already know instead of creating new original ones.
Especially if it is a story like Hush where the writing is considered - how shall I put it politely - not exactly excellent by a lot of people, me included.

While I agree that new stuff would be better for the most part, I'd just love to see The Killing Joke with Luke doing the Joker's voice.

Year One, A Death In The Family and The Killing Joke..
Year One is awesome..and that story is quite common and I guess that's sort of the story line they adapted in the Batman TAS, except for the whole Flass thing and all, I guess..

There's a short Dark Knight Returns sequence in Season Four. It's only about 5 minutes long, though.

With Hamill (who will forever be the voice of THE JOKER for me) and Kevin Conroy (who perfectly did Bruce Wayne/Batman), Death in the Family.
Joker Returns briefly touched on the theme, but that sotry truly set the Joker as Batman's #1 adversary by taking out of piece of his heart and one of his protege's.

I know, that's what makes me want to see the whole thing.

Dark Knight Returns done in Frank Miller's style would be awesome. We got a bit of it in one ep. Though if done as a movie, they don't have to simplify is.
See, that's the trouble with animation. You need to simplify the art to animate it. That why I'd disagree with most of these, especially Killing joke. I don't see a number of these working without the art they were done in. Maybe you could animate Mazzucchelli's style for year one, but it'd be tough.
I like the Timm style, love it, but I don't think it's always the best for certain stories.

Long Halloween
No Man's Land (maybe make it three movies, Earthquake/dealing with it, Batgirl/Two-Face being the focus of the second movie, and ending NML/Joker/and Luthor). That would be sweet.
Killing Joke

Part of me really wants to see an animated Reign of Emperor Joker, because it'd make for such great visuals.

Hush
Or some other great story involving the Riddler. Mostly b/c we never got a Riddler story in the last days of the Timmverse.

The Killing Joke would rock. It's practically a storyboard already, with those dynamic transitions from one scene to another . . .
I thought they did a two episode DKR on The Batman. Maybe I am mistaken, it had Mr. Freeze and Nightwing.

It was one episode, and it wasn't exactly DKR. The only thing borrowed from DKR was, I believe, the Bat-Tank. But "The Batman" episode was just a fast forward to two futures--one where a group of scientists were trying to uncover the secrets of the Batcave to learn how he defeated Mr. Freeze, and another timeline in which Batman, Nightwing, and Oracle were fighting Freeze. And it was a great episode, incidentally.

I'd like to see the Elseworlds - Red Rain Trilogy. Done in Kelly Jones's style.
You don't always have to simplify things. Look at some of the Manga Movies. The detail is high art in some of those. You could make it for the Japanese Market so that it sold and hopefully a western audiance would love it too.

Oh wow, just saw that fan made trailer for Knightfall.
Maybe a whole entire 5 part movie. Sword of Azrael and Knightfall.

Damn. How could I forget? If they could somehow animated Sale's style without losing too much, it would be amazing.

That would be interesting too. As for anime based on manga, you do lose some detail and style. Though recently they've been getting better. An interesting example, also involving vampires, is Hellsing. The TV show was simpler and didn't quite catch author Hirano's style. The new, and more expensive, direct to video movies/episodes are more detailed and look more in his style. Plus scenes and the plot are closer to the serialized manga. The TV diverged after a point.

Actually , DKr ahs been featured twice in Batman cartoons. The second time is the one that you mention in "The Batman". The other one , the first one, was BTAS. It was an episode with kids talking about how they had seen Batman and what he looked like to them. It was the scene from where he was fighting the mutant leader for the second time in the mud.

You are right but you don't have to.
Imagine a Batman Cartoon, with the same level of detail as the fighting flowers in the Pink Floyd The Wall Movie. Obviously the cost would be very, very high so it won't happen.
