Heh. I just realized they mentioned me in the article. Even though I didn't submit a question. :D
Nifty! And speaking of the fuzzy blue guy, Beast (from the CBR Forums) and Tyler Rising brought up some interesting facts and questions about Dr. McCoy's research. “We can see hints of where Beast is willing to go on his computer (in the preview pages from the previous week). According to his log entry, he tried to get meetings with Dr. Doom and Arnim Zola. Will he also be looking for help from others, such as fellow Avenger Dr. Hank Pym and perhaps Reed Richards? Also, will Cable be featured in the story arc due to his knowledge of the future and his files on alternate realities?”

My next question:
I was wondering why we have to have an X-Universe w/o Jean Grey? You brought back Bucky, you brought back Captain Marvel for the love of God...why can't we bring back Jean Grey?

X-Man..........
Since Dark Beast is coming into play, it would make sense X-Man gets mentioned. Since they have to recap Dark Beast's past, and X-Man was one of the AoA refugees. That's all.

Yeah, its more or less just an compilation of X men used for the cover. Plus, its UXM 492, and thats the beginning of the crossover, so things will change.

Wow I have tried to get my Gambit question asked to Joe Q countless times. Now I have more stuff to look forward to in 08.
With the answers about Cable and X-man I’m starting to think that everyone is right about the baby.
I was wondering if this crossover event will deal with the repercussions of the ‘Warsong' miniseries where we found out that Emma is the ‘mother' of the Cuckoos and she had to witness hundreds of her daughters die?”
I haven't referenced that sequence, but there's a moment in the one-off when Emma reminds us of some other bereavements she's had to bear – in typically barbed-and-belligerent Emma fashion.
Did you wanted to say "a panel"? It seems that even in the X-office they want to forget about that awful storyline...

God, Silvestri draws a gorgeous Angel!!!!Agreed. This is a solid piece, with a few problems.
Cons:
Storm
Wolvie's left claws -- the perspective is way off. The claws are twisted, which is not so good.
Pros:
Angel - Woah.
The rest of Wolvie
Nightcrawler
The Amazing Coloring -- the coloring is what really brings this thing together.
This should be made into a poster.

Spoilers, eh.
Same thing for Cyke, too. They won't shut up about him (not that I'm complaing), but all that we know so far is that he'll wave a flag around and other x-men will stop telling him off for a couple of issues.
And they are right. Why would anyone want to follow it up?
Why would they even want to create a book like that? :(
Instead of creating a history in wich Emma gets 1000 daughters, and destroy a great character created by Morrison (the cuckoos), they could've told us Emma's Hellfire days, and continue where the cancelled ongoing left. (wich in my opinion was another waste of money)

IS IT TRUE? Is Nate Grey coming back?!
He said that X-man will be referenced, but wouldn't say whether it was in current continuity or through flashback. My guess is the latter, as Beast will be exploring the Age of Apocalypse as part of his search for a way to reverse the inevitable extinction of mutant life in this reality/dimension.
Having said that, his comments about Stryfe possibly showing up in a non-team book in the future and Cable (see below) have me questioning whether or not he is the one to die in X-men #200:
Also, will Cable be featured in the story arc due to his knowledge of the future and his files on alternate realities?”
That's an interesting point about Cable and his privileged knowledge. And in a way, yeah, that will come to be a relevant issue. Not in the way you suggest here, though, and I can't say more than that.
Mike is always so darn cryptic, so I'm not even remotely sure what he means here.

IS IT TRUE? Is Nate Grey coming back?!
Not really. Read Carey's answer. It's more like he's mentioned.
Which since they're bringing in Dark Beast, would make sense.
Though he does duck the question pretty well. So who knows.
Maybe Marvel wants to trade the X-Man series, and thinks they need X-Man around to sell it. :p

06-22-2007, 08:31 AM
Yeah, I'm thinking that X-man is probably not coming back. Cable, on the other hand, is going to go through some major changes. My guess is that something major is going to happen with him, but for the life of me I don't know what.
I would hazard a guess that he gets taken down by the Marauders in X-men #200 and "goes out with a bang," but that he returns somehow (as he always seems to manage to do) and is a very changed character as a result.
Perhaps he returns as the baby messiah, but I think it will be very hard for him to star in his own book as an infant, and all indications seem to point to the fact that he will be getting his own book after the big X-over (particularly Mike's comments about Stryfe possibly showing up in a non-team book in the future).
So I really can't even begin to figure out what they have in store for the character. Perhaps I'm completely wrong and they are killing him off for good due to his complicated nature, but somehow I doubt it. My thinking is that they've found someway to simplify the character and take him back to his guerrilla fighter roots, and in the process will dump some of the time-traveling Summers kid garbage. But, again, I have no idea how they'd go about doing this.
Having said that, it's obvious that alternate realities and futures will come into play in some fashion during Endangered Species and Messiah Complex, so who knows? Things could get downright weird, but in the end have a very simplifying effect on the X-men Universe. I think I'd like that, personally.

I asked if Mike would be so brave as to have Bobby transport himself in a more creative way, other than the typical, 4 decade-old ice slide he's so comfortable with... Seeing that he now has a more enlightened sense about his powers.
Besides, he always gets knocked off it anyway, if a supervillain gets close enough to shatter it. So why not take a different approach.

That's possible, and the most likely thing to happen, IMO.
Perhaps he returns as the baby messiah, but I think it will be very hard for him to star in his own book as an infant, and all indications seem to point to the fact that he will be getting his own book after the big X-over (particularly Mike's comments about Stryfe possibly showing up in a non-team book in the future).
Not to mention it would bring Scott to the exactly same point he was 18 years ago: as a widower father who has to lead a team (now the X-men as a whole and the school). And this time, he doesn't have an intelligent spaceship to watch out for the kid.
So I really can't even begin to figure out what they have in store for the character.
Me neither.

Seeing that 1/3 of the population from his island has died from Hectacomb, his priorities should be with the people he took charge with... And not crusading around with his rag tag X-Men friends to stop the Marauders. These humans intrusted him with their care, so he should be responsible for bringing hectacomb to their doorstep... Challenging his leadership, moralities, and responsibilities to the mutant population, and also to the people of his island refuge. Now that would be a good story.

Me neither.
Yeah, and it's kind of annoying, but in a good way, I guess. Normally you can almost always figure out what's going to happen from things said in interviews and solicitations for future books and whatnot, but in the case of what's in store for Cable, I got nuthin'.
I mean, he's the most likely candidate to die in X-men #200, but we also know that they have big plans for him post crossover. Would they kill him off just to resurrect him during the crossover? It sounds pretty lame if that's the case, but perhaps the execution won't be as lame as it sounds.
Or perhaps Axel Alonso had big plans for him, but then decided to scrap them and just let Mike Carey kill him off.
Like I said, it's annoying because I dont' have an inkling of what's going to happen here, but it's kind of a good thing because that way I will be surprised on Wednesday.

Yeah, he was. Who did he reach out to during Inferno? Wasn't his dad or mom, it was Jean. Who did he reach out to when the t-o virus was spreading through him, Jean, she brought Scott in to help stop the virus. Jean was the one always convincing Scott to bring him along on the missions, like on the trip to go find Alchemy.
