You said you'd do so if you thought you could.

So go for it. I want to know before I commit to an almost-weekly comic or turn my back on the 616 Spidey comics for good.

If you can't spoil it here in good conscience, please PM me.

Mary Jane has been a Skrull for the last 20 years.

The fans will eat that up!

If that's it, I'll be achieving time travel to go recover my Clone Saga books I sold 5 years ago, because it seems I'll need good Spider-Man comics.

Spider-man's pretty much done at this point, I don't care about ONe More Day or whatever The OTher was suppsoed to be about. I couldn't think of a worse big story than the Unmasking. Everyone still calls him Spidey and he still wears a costume for some reason.

Rich won't spoil it, but I will:

Mary Jane has been a Skrull for the last 20 years. She is the mastermind behind Civil War, thus Spider-Man beats her to death in a shocking display of violence which will garner Marvel Comics airtime on CNN and FoxNews.

Spider-Man can be a bachelor again, and not be "aged" by ending his marriage. Joe Quesada will be able to sleep soundly now.

The new creative teams are:

Chris Claremont & Rob Liefeld:
Chuck Austen & Steve Ditko
Howard Mackie & John Byrne

You heard it here first!!

Then they could bring back the real MJ who was on a tour of europe all this time getting wasted and having premarital relations with quaffy frenchmen.

I like how Joe Quesada complains that having Spider-Man be married is a poor long-term decision that moves him too far from his roots...and then has Peter reveal his secret ID to the world.

This is completely inane because none of the people you mentioned are even involved.

I just think using magic is a weak way out, if you want drama and character development and a real story just have MJ or Peter decide they aren't in love anymore.

Also why do we need a teenage Spiderman when we have the Ultimate universe?

Rich won't spoil it, but I've been speculating for months that in order to "protect" Mary Jane, Peter goes to Doctor Strange and has him magic away the marriage (and likely the ID reveal). We know from the FCBD special that he doesn't wish away things like HoM or Civil War. Mary Jane will go on to become a new hero called Jackpot who flirts with Spider-Man.

All of which is good, because Peter Parker shouldn't be married. He should be hitting the clubs and dating all sorts of hotties, just like he did back in the days when...uhm...I guess Joe Q & Bendis would dress up like Spider-Man and pretend to be him.

Being married is better than a bunch of gimmicks where Spidey is magic now and then he's more magic then he has a new job then he has another job and then everyone knows who he is... then instead of making a great story out of it, they just forget it and he goes back how he was. That is the lamest thing of all time.

'We'll be magic and forget all the bad things' They had an unmasking. I can't read SPider-man because he's so unforgivabley awful. JMS isn't a great writer. There I said it. He can write as many comics and as many hack-filled sci-fi shows as he wants. He'll still be the guy who couldn't write SPider-man without changing him every three months.

If you do a little research you can easily figure out what OMD is about and what the out come of the story will be about. In fact, I'll give you a list of obvious clues put forth (unintentionally) by Marvel that will help you figure out what OMD is about and what the end result of the story will be.

1. Read ANY interviews with Quesada and the new ASM creative teams about OMD.

2. The gift that Dr. Strange gave Peter in ASM #500.

3. The title and tag line of OMD itself "What would you do if you had ONE MORE DAY".

4. The whole unmasking and the results of the unmasking. Come on, you know that stuff is'nt going to stick. Hell, Kevin Smith even said so in an interview.

5. The FCBD issue and comments made about the FCBD issue by the creators and editors.
