Gwen Stacy hotter then Mary Jane

Not only is she hotter, I've always found her a more likeable character. I love Gwen in the normal Marvel Universe but the Gwen in SMLMJ is a great character.

Yeah, I've always thought Gwen Stacy was hotter than MJ. Well, maybe not hotter but definitely more fanciable...for a comic book character I mean.:confused: :o

You know, whenever I read those old Silver Age issues, I find there's something really compelling about her. Obviously she was drawn as a very attractive girl and the mini-skirt & calf-high boots she wore in later issues certainly didn't hurt but there's something else...something almost mythic about her.

I don't know if it's knowing that she will eventually be killed by the Green Goblin but I suspect that might be part of why my heart goes out to her so much as a character.

I mean, she's just such an unfortunate and doomed character, isn't she? Every time I see her in a comic I kind of sigh and think "Awwww...poor doomed Gwen Stacy". Obviously this wasn't the way the character was meant to be viewed at the time she was written but with the benefit of hindsight there's something desperately tragic and rather romantic about her character IMO.

OK, so here's another question for the Gwen Stacy fans out there...

Is Gwen more attractive than MJ because we know her fate?

Personally I always thought the comic Gwen looked like a pretencious snobb to MJ's party girl appearance. That still holds true today.

MJ is and always will be hotter than Gwen.

Except on the big screen. If movie MJ was a perfect 10 then movie Gwen would be a 14. Hell, MJ was, IMO, an 8 out of 10 and Gwen was still a 14.
But I was still rooting for MJ.

Meh, not counting the ultimate version, I've only seen gwen a handfull of times in comics. I was just going from what I've seen. Thats probably the reason I liked Sins Past. I don't really know Gwens personality.

I've always found (comic) Mary Jane much hotter, not only in appearance, but attitude as well. Gwen was fun when she was first introduced, but then she deteriorated into a whiney Daddy's Girl and all her sex appeal flew out the window. Mary Jane, on the other hand, is one of the comic book women I just may be a little gay for.

Though I do agree that movie Gwen was more attractive than movie Mary Jane.

Which made bringing in Gwen kind of ridiculous. And movie Gwen was hotter.

personality wise MJ is better, but that's because Gwen got killed off. I actually think her originally snobby character made her more interesting, but Marvel back in the day obviously felt girlfriends were only for simpering over the hero boyfriends (or whining about their only living relative dying - get over it luv :D)

from what I've read in Masterworks (coz I aint old to have read AS-M back in the day) MJ was a fairly stereotypical groovy chick party girl of the late 60's. That doesn't interest me, the MJ who had to deal with Venom or Jonathan Caesar is miles more interesting (but that happened post marraige - there's no reason to suggest Gwen couldn't been the same)

as for the movie versions Bryce looks better than Kristen, but she was a bit wet for my tastes

MJ's classic look has her in a pair of form fitting jeans and a tight shirt. Gwen's classic look has her in a tank top with a sweater, knee high boots, and a skirt. Gwen wins :D
