I personally think that's a definite 'was hot', Mikl. He started putting on major pounds after Buffy season 3. In 'Angel' season 7 he just didn't look like a guy in his twenties anymore, which is what he was supposed to resemble.

However, he cleans up pretty good in 'Bones'.

Yeah there's an episode where Connie, Lydia, and the nurse that was played by the guy who played Long Duk Dong in Sixteen Candles (I believe the character's name was Yosh) all get fired. I don't remember the exact circumstances, but I believe the in story reason was their hours were getting cut because they were more senior nurse and thus were getting paid more. They complained they were getting less hours and IIRC threatened to strike or something. So Romano fired them.

It was very anticlimactic and at the time I watched it I just assumed the chracters would be back because of the casual, by the way, way it was all done. It wasn't until a couple episodes later I realized "oh shit, they're really gone". I'm curious what the real reason was for letting those actors go.

And yes, Linda Cardellini is very hot.

I missed it on TV. There are some good episodes. The one where Buffy shows why she's the Slayer is awesome. But beyond that, it just tried cramming too much in.

Loved the Fillion's preacher though!!!

I liked that it was a bit different from other seasons in that for the most part it really was one story that played out in a very short period of time. Watching it as it was airing was very frustrating, but all at once was fun. I liked Nathan Fillion, I liked Andrew, I liked Principal Wood, and I liked that even though Giles was in as many episodes as season 6, his presence was more of a factor.

It still doesn't hold a candle to classic Buffy (Seasons 2, 3 and 5 for me), but I felt it was a vast improvement over season 6 and overall pretty satisfactory. I would have been nice if the series just ended after season 5, but season 7 makes those last 2 seasons worth watching for me.

I read Brian K. Vaughan's The Escapists mini series today and loved it! I'm planning on starting the second tpb of Exterminators later.

My favourite series of all time was 3. I loved the Mayor!!!!

I flip flop between 3 and 5 as my favorites. I usually go with 3.

3 had all the majot characters togther for a whole season. Cordelia, Angel, and Wesley would soon be gone. Oz and Faith too. Plus the Mayor was an excellent villain and it was the last season that really hammered home those monsters as high school problems metaphors.

Season 5 had the best planned out arc in my opinion, but didn't have as many cool stand alone episodes as 3. 3 had the Zeppo, the Wish, Doppelgangland, Earshot, and the best stand alone episode, Band Candy. Perfect.

There's a lot of people on the community forum that I think are very interesting. and funny. I like a lot of what some of those people have to say.

Unfortunately most of those people don't venture outside the community forum. But whenever there's a comic book discussion on there its usually pretty intelligent and I like to jump in on those.

But I don't have any interest in jumping into any of the religious or political conversations. In real life or on here. And that's what a lot of the community forum does. They're also very insular, but so is Rumbles and the X-Board.

I read the first 6 issues of Exterminators, and while I thought it was really interesting, somehow it wasn't enough to make me come back.

I read the first tpb for free (checked it out from the bookstore I work at). I liked it. Liked it the most of all the new crop of Vertigo stuff. I didn't like Loveless or American Virgin. DMZ was just OK. Testament was pretty interesting, but I had the felling I wasn't "getting" it.

I traded for this volume, I'm gonna read it tonight and tomorrow I mail it off to a guy in exchange for Walking Dead Vol. 6. Which I'll keep.

I trade a lot on the internet. I read the stuff I'm interested in, and then usually pass it along for stuff I wanna keep. Sometimes stuff I'm mildly interested in becomes stuff I wanna keep.

Umm, seems a fairly valid point to me. Sorry, lol.

I mean, sure, I'd like to see Diamondback's reaction, but reading Cap.....its not like the story is lacking for her being there, you know? Like, there's a certain story being told, and all of the pieces are there, I don't personally feel that her not being there makes it less effective. In fact, bringing her in, while it could make for some good character beats, could end up tangling the plot unnecessarily. And to be honest, bringing in Diamondback would feel pretty gratuitous to me, but that's just me.

It's National Aboriginal Day, so all across the country the different First Nations Tribes will be celebrating. Here in Inuvik, we have 2 different groups. The Inuvialuit (Inuit or Eskimo) and the Gwich'in (native american) so there will be a lot going on in town. Drum Dancing, Jigging, Feasts, Arctic Games, music etc.
