They were almost all quite good. :eek:

Birds of Prey #106/107 - quite fun with the Secret Six (love them) there.

Countdown # 49/48/47 - I'm starting to get into it, after the slow start. But those Monitors look pretty daft...

Uncanny X-men # 487 - I liked the more quiet time after all the Shi'ar stuff, and the "old" characters that returned (Caliban, Litterbug) but why oh why is Skids with them? She was with Apocalypse in 'Blood of Apocalypse'. Is she going to ally with every villain that comes along?

Wonder Woman # 9 was entertaining, I'm not getting Amazons Attack, but it looks nice, as a tie in.

Avengers: The Initiative # 3 - I like those kids and the concept of training heroes and badges is not as well explored anywhere besides here and in another way in Thunderbolts.

New Avengers #31 - haven't read it yet. Yu's art just puts me off. i hope they get someone else to draw it soon...

New Avengers: Illuminatti #3 - the one I didn't enjoy. I don't mind recons, some I find interesting some I don't like at all, but this thing with the Beyonder, didn't strike me as something that needed to be touched upon and it didn't make an interesting story, it felt like filler. Of course the use of the Skrull ship in this issue will be touched upon later I'm sure...

But really when you're on holiday eating is spur of the moment or maybe you know where you want to go and know what you want to eat without saying "well i want that but i can't afford it"

Hollywood obviously believes that, with the theatrical experience becoming so lousy for many people and a lot of individuals enjoying cushy home theater setups, this could be an extremely lucrative new direction. Especially with the high-end price tag.

I'm guessing this will result in an exciting new world of high-quality bootlegs, personally.

It depends. If you have either one or a combination of the following... a huge home theater, lots of friends, or a bunch of kids... it's a hell of a lot cheaper than going to the theater. Especially with the cost of tickets and snacks. Here: $6.50 + $4.00 for a soda. You can even split the cost with your friends. :)

That is an interesting idea w/ the Transformer movie. The market will decide if it's a good idea. More then likely there will be a decent amount that do it. The next movie released will be cheaper say probably 40, then 25...I mean it really is the next step. 20 years from now theaters will be extinct probably. The way technology is going. If Regal or or the other companies were smart, they would jump the gun and create a special channel on satellite or digital cable and for a fee, like HBO, you can watch new releases like Transformers, HP5, Shrek 3....stuff like that. I mean studios don't make their money off popcorn sales and what not...they get it from ticket prices. Say Regal Cinema starts a channel like HBO, 20$ a month. Then for the price of say 5$ you can see a new movie. Regal makes their money and studios make theirs. Although now that I think of that the amount of money made wouldn't be as great.

Funny story from one of my camps. I had to run w/ this kid Thomas James. Good defensive back, just kid always thought he knew it all. So we called him Coach James. Anyway, him and I shared a cooler in the room. Had all our powerades and drinks in it. Well I left the door open and my two friends came in, stole all his powerade. Thomas came back in and opened up the cooler and on the left side was all mine and on the right was nothing but holes in the ice. Then we put toothpaste under his pillow so at night when he slid an arm underneath it...fun times. Maroon 5 is a modern day boy band, like Backstreet Boys or N'sync for today. & their "sound" really isn't that good...much like Britney Spears hits were never good sounding (the radio played Toxic the other day & I had to laugh & turn it).

Amazing SpiderMan was badass as always.

X-Men:ES was pretty entertaining.

Ghost Rider was WAY too short.

IronMan was great but half the issue was WWH #1 all over again. Still a great read.

Captain America was awesome.

Incredible Hulk was good.

Not very much TO say, really. It's certainly a shame, as I was very much enjoying where it was going. But I don't follow sales, so I can't say if Marvel is jumping the gun with the cancellation, or if they let it go on longer than it financially deserved to.

It was the lowest-selling 616 title (among the ongoings), it was around 16,000 copies a month, i think. Normally less than 25,000 makes the book be cancelled.

I have to say, I really didn't like Hanna's inks on Ghost Rider. They made the art so blah in this issue, and I usually love this book.

May sales charts (http://www.cbgxtra.com/Default.aspx?tabid=2203) indicated that the book sold 15,587 copies, which is less than Blade, which was also cancelled.

And, Sean, i don't know if it was losing money or not. But i suppose that, even if it was making, the profit wasn't enough to make it continuing worthwhile
