has anyone heard of these heroes called the centurions? There about 3 guys that get these special suits with holes in them and weopons connect to the holes and they have helmets on and fight crime. It was a show from the 80's. One of them has a blue suit and the other has a yellow suit and the other has green.i seen the show before on boomerang when my bro was watching it.anyone else heard of these guys?

I recall them, yes. Always wanted the toys.

That was the bomb show... but there's the TV forum for it.

Personally I preferred the nearly identical "Inhumanoids"

I had the green one and the blue one (Ace McCloud, I believe was his name).

They were cool toys. I don't remember the show really well though, other than the opening.

They still run it on Boomerang.

The toys were a cool idea, but the show...

Man. Proof positive that, even with Gil Kane, Alex Toth and Jack Kirby in the room, you can still get a turd.

It was a great premise (three guys, land, sea and air) that were part James Bond, part Transformers, part GI JOE.

Looked great on paper, and the toys were very playable, but it just didn't shine.

The eighties will be looked back as a rennaisance time for boys cartoons. The fact that Centurions, BraveStar, and SilverHawks were all second or third teir shows just goes to show the level of quality. (IMHO)

I can't remember if I liked the show that much, but I thought the Ace McCloud toy was cool. The land guy was an ugly color of green and didn't work--sea guy was in between.

I think it was just a concept show that never got past the concept.

Another mediocre 'concept' favorite of mine from childhood where I enjoyed the toys more than the show was Captain Power.

Silverhawks was a really fun show if I recall, and the toys were simple but great. I had the plane that held all five (six?) Silverhawks and loved it.

Centurions will always be a fun cultural show, the shared secret of a generation, because unlike Transformers and GI Joe it didn't make it to the next level. And there's something fun about that because it's an exclusive club. Show mediocre but nostalgia good.

They had cool outfits, but everything else sucked

The guy in the green was always getting stuck under boulders, or trapped under water or what have you. Ace always had to save him.

we need a hi-tech remake where they all wear 3-piece suits before they snap on all the cool stuff.
