Both mecha franchises will return next year in new installments:
Gundam 00....which apparentally is another Alternate Universe and not a continuation of SEED or the UC is coming out this fall. Reportedly, this will again feature multiple Gundams. Instead of the unique dating systems of the other Gundams, apparentally this one takes place in the 24th century.
A new Macross anime is also being produced. It'll be a TV series and will celebrate the 25th anniversary of the first Macross series. No word on what it's about yet, although expect transforming fighters and lots and lots of music.
