OMG...that would explain it.

I *dislike* the Simpsons. Can not stand to watch it,and even despite seeing a few episodes,do not do so if i can help it.

If it helps,i can not stand Family Guy,King of the Hill,American Dad,etc. The only shows i like of this type are Futurama and in very small doses Harvy Birdman and ATHF.

I am just tired of the only tv animated cartoon shows being satires. I want a non-anime action adventure show that is not done in one and everything reverts to a status quo at the end of the show. A ongoing story with mature aspects.

Is that so much to ask?

There's Avatar? But it's for kids / teenagers. And there was some other about psychics.

Well you will just have to wait for the Gargoyles DVDs to come.

The sad thing is,i agree with you at some points about Gargoyles, yet after watching about 20+ episodes, and seeing the storyline progression,i hate to say that i just felt blah about this show. I liked parts of it,but i something about the characters just didn't appeal to me.

Do not take this as a dis against Gargoyles...i liked it,but never loved it despite wanting to,and gave up on it after awhile.

And as for Avatar...heard so many good things about that one,but i usually hate and detest ALL Nick cartoons with a loathing passion. Each and every one of them. Avatar may be better than them, but that would not be a hard feat, imho.

See...every review, every word of mouth i have heard about this show has been so positive...but i would be hard press to start. It's that old comic book syndrome for me...diving into the middle of a long running show/book and playing catch-up and looking for all the back episodes/issues...

Avatar is a good 'toon.

ASIDE: I love nicktoons. Not because they are the best thing in the world, but it does put some variety in what i do watch.

Example. Kappa Mikey is awesomely bad, yet funny. Like a guilty pleasure. The characters go nowhere, but its fun. El Tigre is my fave, because Manny & Frieda are crazy.

i'm not a fan...either i have a problem w/ the animation or the content or sometimes both...i just stumbled upon the avatar because my younger cousins would come over and i pretty much let them watch whatever they want and just sorta got sucked in...i use to like kim possible, but then it got too...prepubescent...:(
