Was sorting out my disorganised mess of a CD collection today and I have about 155 of them, including 3 I've bought which are in transit.

Was able to categorise them fairly easy into Metal & Hard Rock, Grunge, Classic & Misc Rock, Avante Garde & Electronically Inspired Rock, Classical Scores & Post-Rock.

Between 10 and 20. I don't use them any more anyway, I use my mp3 player exclusively so as not to bother my parents or the neighbours. *shrugs*

Though I could have more but I've probably lost them. :o

I think it's around 300.

Mostly "rock".

It's getting near 900, I think. Most of them are across the country at my folk's house. Most of the CDs are rock with some old school hip hop, some Motown compilations, and some soundtracks thrown in.

Probably over a thousand but there's no way I'm going to count them, they're organized in no order whatever, and I doubt anyone could name a genre not represented.

And about a third of my music collection is on either vinyl or shellac.

(Unless you count mp3s, in which case about 10% is on vinyl or shellac.)

Twenty something. I haven't been buying CDs for very long. Most, if not all, fall under the "rock" umbrella.

200 or so. Most of my collection is alternative rock (or grudge rock, back in the day) and then a few country CDs, classic rock.

about 50, "rock", "jazz" and classical. I sold a big chunk of em tho, coz it was some reggae crap I really cant listen to without falling asleep after 12 seconds. I'm really that picky

I have about 1,350 CDs and around 300 or so vinyl albums. Encompasing just about every musical genre you'd care to mention.

I haven't counted in ages, but it's probably around 225, including burned copies. I could divide the bulk of that into a bunch of industrial/techno variants.

I have about 300 cds ranging from contemporay rock, alternative, punk, ska and comedy. I have alot of old albums on burned discs or as mp3's because I like to trade in albums to for store credit.

Somewhere between 300 and 400.

I bought most of them in the 90's. In fact, this decade I'd imagine I've bought less than 40 total as I only buy CD's now by groups I truly love. Otherwise I just download the song.

Somewhere around 1400-1500. Haven't counted in years. I believe (although someone could come up with some micro-genre that I've never heard of) they cover just about every major genre you could think of except for new R&B and nu-metal.
