I bragged on my penciler before, but now it's time to brag on my painter (and lovely wife!) Danielle, aka Reverend Smooth:

I'm in awe of that panel. I can literally stare at it for hours.

http://www.hollowcomic.com/Laughing.jpg
No detail is left untouched. Each character has a unique skin tone. And the coffee cup the bald guy holds is a mini-masterpiece.

The mood and atmosphere in that panel... Just great.

And here's the full page, finished and ready to print:

I'm so unbelievably f'ing lucky.

Yeah. I'm just bad at asking for charity.

I'll do it now.

Oh. Can I keep the little accent mark you put over the e in my name? It makes me look all cool. :)

Seriously, Larime, if you hear about how much I love the crazy genius of the Hollow team (including your scripts, FYI) one more time, I'm just going to come of as a stalking fangirl. You already know how awesomesauce I think y'all are. (Damn it Gail, now I can't stop using that word!! ;) ) I really can't wait to see the final product. You have such a winning combination with the three of you, you're gonna knock people for double loopty loops when it comes out, no question.

Yeah it totally sucks. Sucks so bad that I can't tear myself away from looking at how awesomely sucky it is. It's so sucky that I can't even fully describe the suckness it has in such a small space.

Seriously, it's incredible stuff, Danielle. I wish I was half as talented as you are....

As I said before, of all the projects that are coming out and not released, this is the one I am looking forward to the most (with maybe one exception). The idea intrigues me and the art is really great.

Maybe because October sets the mood?

Funny enough, we're debuting on Halloween. Holloween? Heh.

Oh, and the story starts in October of 2006. None of this was intentional.

You're debuting on my marriage anniversary?

I'm going to be in a comic shop pimpwhoring Hollow on my anniversary? My wife isn't going to like that... We're supposed to be in Vegas then!

Those pages are beautiful, though! It's going to need slick paper to hold the colors. I can't wait to hold it in my hot sweaty little hands.

There are comic shops in Vegas. :D

ASP uses waaaaaaay better paper than most comics. Thick, smooth paper. I love the feel of their books, there's nothing cheap about them. It's gourmet comics.

It's gourmet comics.Well, that's good. You need something to break up the taste of the salty tears. And maybe wash it down with a smooth chianti?
