So far I've been enjoying Iron Fist's latest series and I look forward to it every month. The thing that has me scratching my head about this book is Shou Lao, The Undying. In the previous tales, it was established that many people have died trying to defeat Shou Lao and obtain The Iron Fist. Now it's revealed that before Danny there were other Iron Fists who happened to conquer the same dragon he fought?! How is this possible?
I was under the impression that it took one time to defeat Shou Lao and acquire the powers of the Iron Fist. How is it that the same dragon was defeated several times? I don't get it.
Also, does this fact pretty much omits Master Khan and Chiantang's role in the creation of Shou Lao?
If any of you remember, Chiantang's animosity against Danny stems from the fact that he slain Shou Lao. Master Khan wasn't pleased because Shou Lao provided him with countless blood sacrifices that made him powerful.
I hope somewhere down the line there are plans to address these issues.
Other than that, Immortal Iron Fist is one of my favorite titles.
