Well, I'm in the desert, so when it gets hot, it's REALLY hot ... but we're something like 2,600 feet above sea level, so when it gets cold, it gets REALLY cold! It snows every few years too.... which I rather like, personally.

And that's not counting all the moving about we used to do when I was younger ... Now, Chicago, right by the Great Lakes in the wintertime ... now THAT'S cold!

No doubt. I think the coldest it's gotten here was around 50 degrees. During the winter, that would be considered a heat wave back home!

There was this one time our family stayed in a winter park in the RV, and my brothers and I would make snowmen by a restaurant while my parents were off doing whatever. And then we would go inside the inn and drink hot chocolate while we waited for Mom and Daddy to pick us up. And while we were waiting, a car full of teenagers jumped the curb, knocked over our snowmen, and drove off laughing. So I was crying, but my brothers said we would build another one tomorrow. So the next day we did it, and the same thing happened with the same teenagers.

So the next day, Eric suggested we build the snowman over a fire hydrant. :evilsmile:

I used to live with my grandparents out in the woods, and when winter came, everything would freeze over. Snow would tend to stay until the start of April, even when the surrounding area was all melted. I remember this one ice storm, all the trees looked like they were carved from crystal, and there was this one hill next to the house that looked like a waterfall that just stopped.

I have a friend who curses Dell, so I think I'll stay away from them. And there's some other brand ... I can't remember it, but I've heard a lot of bad things about them.

Let me adress Ben's points.
1. I love Kyuubi. It's Kyuubi who doesn't like me for reasons that are 100 % my fault.Kyuubi kept giving me chance, after chance, after chance but my obstinate nature refused to see the warning signs before he severed our relationship again for reasons that are 100 % my fault.
2. It's fall so prices have come down on computers. Now would be a good time to buy but if you wait until after Christmas to buy your laptop you will get a much better computer for your money. If you wait until spring you will save a fortune on your laptop compared to today's prices. So if you really want a laptop now a good time to buy but spring would be ideal.
3. Okay new goal is to study for two hours without coming back to yabs. I'm on abnormal Psych. now so my brain should handle that amount of time without shutting down.

Let me adress Ben's points.
1. I love Kyuubi. It's Kyuubi who doesn't like me for reasons that are 100 % my fault.Kyuubi kept giving me chance, after chance, after chance but my obstinate nature refused to see the warning signs before he severed our relationship again for reasons that are 100 % my fault.
2. It's fall so prices have come down on computers. Now would be a good time to buy but if you wait until after Christmas to buy your laptop you will get a much better computer for your money. If you wait until spring you will save a fortune on your laptop compared to today's prices. So if you really want a laptop now a good time to buy but spring would be ideal.
3. Okay new goal is to study for two hours without coming back to yabs. I'm on abnormal Psych. now so my brain should handle that amount of time without shutting down.

Now is always the worst/best time to buy a computer. You can always wait, and something new will always come out and prices for old stuff are always going down. Better IMO to just buy one when you need one, and not spend time guessing what exact date will garner you the best bang for your buck.

I listen to all types, but my main love is R & B music. Not the stuff out today, I prefer old school stuff.
