There is a poor bastard out there who died and donated their body to science thinking there were going to better humanity. Little did they know their brain would end up in an unmarked refrigerator at a community college well known for the fact it takes the average student three and 1/2 years to get a 2 year degree. Now there are two and one is on the brink of closing down. This is all fallout from when comics went from selling a millions of issues a copy to the current numbers.

I know I got several degrees but still I'm back where I started ten years ago.

Best wishes, hero. Your own practice sounds exciting.

It may be too early, but you might want to think about what kind of practice you will work with. For example, what if you want to work with kids, or with couples.

From my own experience, a thesis should be thought out LONG before the quarter the class begins. I am sure direction will be important in your progress.

So this #$%^ tried to guilt trip us tonight. Halloween is around the corner and allegedly (I have to strain that she is NOT a trust worthy source) all the staffs in our area are supposed to be working all night, both Friday and Saturday. We complained that since we have twice the staff per resident as any other building, the fewest number of access points, the smallest rooms on campus, and the dorm with the fewest number of incidents per year. Well she came out with "I'm really upset with how this staff doesn't want to be a team and do what all the other staffs are. They're probably learning about this tonight and are really disappointed in you."

Guess what? Duty isn't something we fucking team up with any other building on campus. We are a unique building and treating us like we aren't is a huge fucking waste of everyone's time. And how fucking unprofessional is it to try and use a guilt trip? I'm so fucking angry.

A week later, possibly for unrelated reasons as there was more drama in the political thread, Matt Doc Martin was banned. If I could go back and take that knowledge out of my brain I would. I considered pming Shelly but decided that would be a grave violation of her trust so I’m forced to sit back and wonder just what the hell is going on.

In much brighter news I'm going to post a picture of Baby Revanchist today. Not that any of you should care, but I feel like a proud papa. The best part is that I've never changed a baby before and thank god today is going to be no exception as my dad there.:smile:

If you read the final posts he made in the political thread....it got really ugly. I think a temporary ban may have been warranted but making it permanent was a bit extreme.

The mods have a very rough thankless job and I don't know what I would have done if a person I kept warning to quit didn't quit.

Between my classes, meetings, and working, I feel like I'm extra busy. Also I need to make dinner tonight. Lasagna and steamed vegetables. I need a moment to enjoy my time and feel good.

I didn't want to pay 100 dollars for the trade so I told the library I lost it and paid twenty bucks for it which at the time was an 80 dollar savings. Stacy and Shiso. Then Kris of all people said I stole it and that's how that running joke got started.:mad:

Guys please don't read the last page of the Yabies Award thread. There is some heavy drama there I wished I knew nothing about. A week later, possibly for unrelated reasons as there was more drama in the political thread, Matt Doc Martin was banned. If I could go back and take that knowledge out of my brain I would. I considered pming Shelly but decided that would be a grave violation of her trust so I’m forced to sit back and wonder just what the hell is going on.
Nothing to wonder... dude acted like an asshole for YEARS and now he's finally been banned from yet another online community... that's what he does.
Banned? Was that that nasty piece of work guy who bullied people? If it is then yay to that.
Agreed... the mods have been really nice to let him stay as long as he did... but he kept behaving badly after multiple chances
Did a bunch of his final posts get deleted in the process? Because considering who he had been arguing with just before the boot, I didn't see what Matt did wrong. Even in unmoderated threads you can't keep calling people assholes and contribute nothing to the discussions. Just look at the last 20 posts he made. At least 10 of them are filled with insults and personal attacks.

Matt PM-ed me his story about Papergirl, and it kinda distresses me. At some point I'm going to verify the details and see if what he said was true, which really hurts because I miss her.
1. The story in question isn't his to tell. AT ALL.
2. It's complicated and best left alone. In fact I ask you all as friends, that you let this sleeping dog lay. It's far more complex than Matt Martin has understanding of.

Matt Martin is a deeply disturbed individual. He seems nice and cool at first, but he quickly changes into another person who's very troubling. He's been banned, temporarily banned or asked to leave at least 4 message boards, if not more.

When he first surfaced here I said nothing to my friends here because I figured he deserved a shot at making friends here and I thought that maybe he did change... but sure enough he started attacking Night Swordsman and other random posters here. Shelly and I both started threads asking that posters stop attacking each other... and even after that he didn't get the hint.Look how many times he's been warned here... after a while, it becomes disrespectful to the mods and to Gail to behave so badly in their house.

Look, for Matt the Olney thing was never about Rick Olney... it was about getting attention and glory for Matt. He wanted people to love him. If you're still friends with him, great... but understand that it's all about Matt.

He's had plenty of chances to stop his appalling behavior... yet he continues on. No mods banned Matt. Matt Martin banned Matt.

If you ask me... good riddance.
