I kept pointing out that Gilgamesh wasn't Assyrian by birth he only ruled it when he became king and a mostly absent one at that as he and Enkindu spent all their time !@#$ing around in the Underworld. A year ago now it turned out the boss I spent a year working for was in fact my cousin. This happens all the time in my mom's side of the family as Assyrians have no nation and are scattered all over the place with 1.5 million in Iraq, which damn it used to be part of our empire, and another 1.5 million located around the world.

The person I spoke with last night is a second cousin. To be honest I couldn't tell you how many cousins I have because both sides of my family are very big belivers in having lots of sex without condoms. On the Assyrian side it leads to lots of early marrages which is is Middle Eastern thing. You want as little age seperation between mother and child so the women get married off before 20 to guys usually ten years older or more. On the black side of the family all that unprotected sex leads to having lots of children without wedlock most of whom are only cared for by the mother's side of the family.

To further compond things since I'm 30 the both sides of the family sees me as a freak because I don't have children. It's worse on the Assyrian side because I'm expected to marry a twenty year old Assyrian. Now!
