I am serious! I went to B&N last week,looking for the last Charlaine Harris hardcover,and between the music and the guy telling me he was out of stock and would probably not have any in anytime soon,i jumped ship and went to my local Borders,which did have it.
And this is not the first time this has happened either.

Unfortunately,between these two shops,all local independent book stores in the area have all dried up,without taking a long trip to another city to get them. Sigh.

Plus,Borders sell comic books and B&N dosn't,despite having 10x the store space.

That depends on the color of it's blood. I haven't been able to find it, due to its voice having a surrondsound effect, but when I do I'm going stomp it into oblivion. It ruined :mad: a perfectly good study night but I have no homework so I don't have to worry about falling behind.

I hate regular/un-diet soda. It's what I've become used to. My little sister was diagnosed with diabetes when she was about 3 (I was 7), so anytime we bought soda into the house, it was diet. I never got used to the taste of regular soda- I find it repulsive, much like most people find diet sodas repulsive. That aftertaste people complain about for diet sodas, I find in regular sodas. ICK!! So, when I order a diet pepsi with my dinner, it doesn' t mean I'm on a diet. It just means that's what I want to drink. :smile:

When the soda companies changed over from sugar to HFCS because it was cheaper, back in the dim and different past, I, and many others, noticed a "deadening" of the flavors and a longer "sweet" aftertaste, rather than a "flavor" aftertaste.

If you are at all curious, you might try one of the Jones brand of sodas (although you might want to stay away from their holiday-season packs -- Turkey and Gravy soda, Christmas Ham soda etc.). They don't use HFCS at all. Alternatively, in the week or two leading up to Passover, stores in areas with large Jewish populations will carry Coca-Cola that is Kosher for Passover, using cane sugar for sweetening, since HFCS isn't Kosher.

The flavors tend to be crisper, with a "brighter" mouth-finish than the HFCS sodas.
