Bad as it looks, I still want to see 10,000 BC because I like CGI monsters.

I want to see the giant chicken (turkey?) looking creature. Movies have returned full circle and become the cinema of attractions again. Sorta.

I suspect I'll wish they cut out most of the human scenes and just released an hour long movie of CGI monster bits. I probably won't see it until DVD though.

I'd like to see the new movie with Frances McDormand and Amy Adams. I love Amy Adams. *swoon*

I didn't meant it that way. I was aluding to my mental state. Honest.

Speaking of your allergies, all kidding aside I'm worried about you. If you're this bad now I shudder to think of what you will be like during the spring and the summer. I know you hate the cold but health wise you might be better off in a colder climate once you finish your education and move on to your chosen vocation.

I was referring to your mind. I suppose I should have used the "winky" smiley.

I might move to north or west. Once I get my dramatic writing degree, I will be trying to get shows produced. I suffer so bad with allergies, I don't know what will work. I have Claritin and Zyrtec.

I hate cold too, but if I move to ATL, it snows there.

I hate snow. Not really. I do have to go where the jobs are. Since I want to be the writer-producer on the shows/films I create, that will keep me busy. Surprisingly I am not the worst sufferer I've seen. One co-worker visitis the doctor almost daily. Anti-biotics, zyrtec, inhalers. Whooo. i would want the shots if i had to do all that.

I do think the south east is out as a place for me to retire to. :(

Companies spend billions of dollars researching allergy pills. It's only a matter of time before someone comes up with a miracle pill. Hopefully it will be soon.

I am off today. I need it, and I'm rather miserable due to allergies, but I digress. I wish your day to be swell. :)

Hope the meds are making the allergies bereable.

So how was your day off otherwise?

Only 3 hours left at the current job. I'm excited to get to Vegas but I'll miss my current co-workers. *sniff*

Well you know how it is, for every new begining something has to end, or something like that.... I think....

I have a morning ritual that I need to share. I call it 'the terminator'. First I crouch down in the shower in the classic 'naked terminator traveling through time' pose. With my eyes closed I crouch there for a minute, visualizing either Arnold or the guy from the second movie (not the chick in the third one because that one sucked) and I start to hum the terminator theme. Then I slowly rise to a standing position and open my eyes. It helps me to proceed through my day as an emotionless, cyborg badass. The only problem is if the shower curtain sticks to my terminator leg. It ruins the fantasy.

I have a similar morning ritual I call the "Requiem for a Dream." Instead of crouching naked in the shower fantasizing about naked Austrian men, I jam a heroin needle in my arm. It helps me proceed through my day like a bumbling junkie.

You'd figure any movie where Jennifer Connelly double-dong dildo-fucks another chick would be an awesome movie, but noooooooo...

Man, I love his writing, and his cameos on "Chappelle's Show" were hilarious. He's a great comedy and sitcom writer, but the one show I saw of his, his last show on Showtime, just wasn't that funny. I don't know, maybe he loses something in his act when he's live, but it just didn't do it for me. But if you wind up seein' him, lemme know how he was!

I'm taking care of my girlfriend's grandma now, and she's batshit. Yeah, mine too. :( I think in grandma's case, though (she only has dementia, not Alzheimer's), she probably wouldn't have gotten so bad if she'd kept herself sharper as she got older and hung out with more people. Instead, she shut herself in and got secluded and weird.

But yeah, I am afraid of getting any kind of disease that's gonna ruin my brain in a worse way than I already have.

Well, you've got decades and decades to go before you should even begin to worry about that manifesting, and by then, they'll probably have better medicines for it, so it'll be less of a problem. Plus, there's always the chance that it isn't something that shows up in females in your family. Or that it was a coincidence.

That's all I think about whenever I wonder if I'll get like that when I'm old: I'm way too young to worry about it now, and it may never happen anyway, and if it does, I'll deal with it then.

I have to take art criticism next quarter, but I don't like art history. I guess I will have to sit and suffer through it. :(

Good Lord. You are a hardcore gamer. ;) Don't forget to eat and breathe, as gamers tend to have a hyper focus on the game and not life.

Any new anime or would that be sensory overload?

Now you know why I haven't watched a regular tv show since B5 went off the air. The time most people spend watching TV each day I spend on video games and am proud of it baby1:)

The only reason why I'm not playing now is that it's damn near bedtime and I wanted to check in on YABS before I go to sleep.

I'm good. My uncle Shorty, sorry no one in my generation knows his real name, called up my dad today. He was bitching that Mississippi got three inches of snow and it's the first time that's happened in a decade blah, blah, blah. I swear it seems like it hasn't stopped snowing for more than two days where I'm at since November.

I feel good enough to make the stir fry I said would and i still have some of the baked homemade French fries I made.

i don't know if it fits in your diet, but the homemade fries are great. All I did is buy the potatoes, cut them into slices (they look like steak fries), season them with salt, pepper, and Italian seasoning. I coated them lightly with olive oil, and baked them at 425 degrees. In 20 mins they were cooked on one side, turned them over and in ten minutes they were done.

Even better and fattier and worse for you, make some bacon and save a little of the grease, chuck some chopped potatoes and green peppers and onions in the skillet, sprinkle it with garlic powder and seasoning salt and brown 'em real crispy. Fuckin' tasty.

Also, once they're about done, sometimes I like to spread it all to the edge of the pan and crack a few eggs in the middle, sprinkle some cheese on top of 'em, and then crumble the bacon over that. Holy shit, is that delicious and bad for you!

Saw it, enjoyed if, but I have to agree Megatron, or Starscream for that matter aren't really there, so to speak. OK movie, great violence, but should have been much better.

I'm usually not very critical (heh) of mainstream movies because I go in expecting fluff and if I'm mildly entertained, we're aces. But as for 'Transformers'...

THAT WAS AWESOME!

Best guilty pleasure movie ever!

I would do it. I think my professors wanted us to take from our lives all the time and embed our characters with a touch of realism.

That's what I am doing with the library drama. I am going to call it "Stacks," which in itself is suggestive. I'm thinking made for HBO series because I am going to blow the lid off the absurdity of the politics and drama, and the scandals I'd like to be juicier than regular tv stations will allow.

Why would you want to write about that?

To deconstruct it. I used to be an objectivist for a brief spell. Thank God I got out of it. My essay is basically a synopses of all of the problems I have with it. Later, I may go into greater detail criticizing objectivist epistemology, metaphysics, Ayn Rand's views on causation and free will, their political views, and objectivist ethics (pfffffffftttttttt "ethics". Does being selfish and chalking it up to "survival" count? )

So I just want to deconstruct it and warn people about it.

And thanks Jack.:)

That's good. Speaking of our beloved Ayn, Indigo Al and I once wrote an Ayn Rand vs. Valerie Solanas story.

I'm not engaging in personal attacks or anything. Is just that in order to get the funny I'm crossing boundaries that I shouldn't be crossing. And when you cross those boundaries, unintentional or not, your laughing at people rather than with people and that's no good.

I do hope you get it under control.

"Alright gang we've got a mystery on our hands here!" Ted said smiling.

"Oh Ted I know you'll solve it!" Patty exclaimed.

"Patty have you ever heard of a Judas Cradle?"

"Oh no Ted!"

"Well you will unless you learn to stop being so cheeky."

"You're so right Ted. I'm so horrible Ted!"

"Of course you are," Ted said giving her a big smile. "Now if Patty is done being churlish, we can focus on solving this mystery!"

Val raised her hand and said, "The true artist is every self-confident, healthy female, and in a female society the only Art, the only Culture, will be conceited, kooky, funky, females grooving on each other and on everything else in the universe."

"Val's right we have to figure out who here is really a ghost!"

"Man! Some one here's a ghost?" asked Sonny shaking while Groovy prowled around his legs.

Ted reached out and slapped Sonny right across the face. "Listen you!" he grabbed Sonny by the shirt pulling him close "I don't need you freaking out and bringing the heat down on us! What'd we talk about earlier?"

"Man... to be chill... and to not harsh Ted's mellow." Groovy pulled back and started growling.

"Yes, exactly, now if you don't shut that dog up I'll fucking shoot it!" Ted said pulling out and cocking his gun.

"Groovy, man, stand down!"

"Oh Ted! You handled that so authoritatively."

"Shut up Patty!" Ted said point the gun at her head.

"I'll be quiet Ted," Patty cowered.

"To be sure he's a `Man', the male must see to it that the female be clearly a `Woman', the opposite of a `Man', that is, the female must act like a faggot," Val obliged.

"Thanks Val," Ted said smiling, "Now the only way we're going to solve the Mystery of the Haunted Batcave is if we work together!"

"Man... but taking on a ghost?"

"Bet you'll do it for a Groovy Treat!" Ted said pulling a pill bottle out of his pants and shaking it. Sonny lunged forward to grab the bottle only to have Ted pull it away causing Sonny to spill on the floor causing everyone to snicker.

"Not until we've solved the mystery."

"But where's the ghost, man?"

"Right there!" Ted said pointing to Kitty Pryde.

The four dirty hippies and their dog maneuvered around into a circle around the nubile X-man and then all lunged at her...

Kitty was completely taken off guard by the Groovy Gang's attack.

"I'm not a ghost, guys! Honestly! I can phase myself and pass through ..."

She sighed. There was just no convincing them.

Fortunately, someone else intervened. Kitty did not recognize the newcomer, at first. But then she made a few speeches. Is that Ayn Rand?

Ted, however, was not going to be distracted. Kitty leaped out of the way, and then turned to him. "Okay, you psychotic Scooby Doo caricature. I hate to do this, but I don't really know if you can be reasoned with."

Kitty phased as Ted lunged at her again. She hoped Ted would collide with the bookcase behind her...

Part II...

Which of course he did. And it collapsed on top of him. However the "never say die even if you're on death row" spirit of the Groovy Gang stayed with him and he pulled himself out from under several copies of Atlas Shrugged and The Fountainhead. "Alright gang! This ghost is tricky we need to make a plan!"

"Oh Ted you're plans are always so brilliant!" Patty exclaimed.

"Sarcasm Patty is just pretend wit. And you know what happens if you're sarcastic..."

"I have to go in the Brazen Bull. And I deserve it. For being a spoiled rich girl."

"Now where's Sonny and Groovy?"

Sonny and Groovy had skidded over into a supply closet. "Zere are girls here Sonny," Groovy said. "Zey need to be punished Sonny!"

"Man, I don't want to punish any girls! Man, I'm just jonesin' for some Groovy treats."

"You must punish zem Sonny! You are ze vraith of GOD! Ze svord of Michael!"

"Groovy man, why won't you ever talk when anyone else is around!"

"I am not here for zem Sonny! You are all zat matter! You und ze tender little girls!"

Then Sonny noticed a large bottle of glue sitting on a shelf. "Thank you God, man." He pulled it down, opened it an put it to his nose.

"Excellent idea Sonny," Ted said from the doorway. "We'll take that glue and spread it all over the floor that why when the ghost comes by again she'll get stuck!"

"Oh Ted that's so brilliant."

"Shut up Patty before I slap you!"

"I'll be quiet now Ted."

Ted reached up and put a bottle of glue into each of their hands and one in Groovy's mouth. Then all four of the started walking around Kitty spreading the glue all over the floor. "We've got that ghost now gang!"

OOC: Avert your eyes, non-fans of Game tangents! It's another Indigo Al-Tommy Battle Royale!

Watching the battle between Boba Fett and the Game players made Bionic Bigfoot sad and homesick for his newly adopted planet.

To distract himself, he began perusing some of the materials Rorschach left behind, including a few discarded pages from Rorschach's notebook....

He saw some mysterious scribbling...

"REeeeeuuurgh? Reeeuuuuurgh? Reuuuurrrrrgh?"

*<Rosendayn? Randalayn? Alisarayn?>

All of a sudden, Bionic Bigfoot's vision clouded. Infernal smoke billowed all about him, as he passed out and a mysterious figure coalesced from the smoke, as though summoned through a diabolic incantation....

http://www.pbs.org/wnet/americannovel/timeline/images/rand_pic.jpg

"BY THE WHITE WOLF (WHOM I DO NOT BELIEVE IN, FOR I AM ATHEIST)! WHO DARES SUMMON ME??"
This new arrival certainly perked Val's interest. Perked so much that she ignored the others attempting to subdue the mutant and walked over. "Love is not dependency or sex, but friendship, and therefore, love can't exist between two males, between a male and a female, or between two females, one or both of whom is a mindless, insecure, pandering male; like conversation, live can exist only between two secure, free-wheeling, independent groovy female females, since friendship is based upon respect, not contempt," she said suggestively raising an eyebrow.
"PFAH! PFAH! I AM A RATIONAL, MORAL WOMAN! TO PROCLAIM SPIRITUAL SISTERHOOD WITH LESBIAN... IS SO REPULSIVE A SET OF PREMISES- AN ACCURATE COMMENTARY WOULD REQUIRE KIND OF LANGUAGE I NO LIKE TO SEE PRINT."

Then she looked at Ted.

"YOU. YOU ARE STRONG MORAL MAN. DA, I CAN SEE HOW SKINNY FEMALE LOOKS UP TO YOU. SHE IS IDEAL WOMAN! WORSHIPS MAN! AND IDEAL MAN IS HIGHEST SYMBOL OF MANKIND. I BELIEVE YOU WILL BE MY NEW DISCIPLE AND LOVER, AND YOU WILL HELP ME FIND KILLER OF MY CHAMPION, SPOTTY-MAN!"
Ted briefly turned towards her. "Ma'am were trying to solve a mystery here. We're trying to catch this ghost! And if you hamper us I'll be forced to cut your head off with a hacksaw and keep your head for a little while before disposing them on Taylor Mountain!" With that said he once more lunged at Kitty.
"DA." SHE NODDED. "DA, I CAN SEE THIS. YOU ARE MAN, A HEROIC BEING, WITH YOUR OWN HAPPINESS AS THE MORAL PURPOSE OF YOUR LIFE, WITH PRODUCTIVE ACHIEVEMENT AS YOUR NOBLEST ACTIVITY, AND REASON AS YOUR ONLY ABSOLUTE. YOU CUT LITTLE GIRL'S HEAD OFF - THIS SURELY IS YOUR PASSION, YOUR GREAT GENIUS. AFTER THAT, YOU WILL TAKE ME ON COLD HARD ROUGH CAVE FLOOR. "

Part III...

"While you lie there, I'll surround you with knives. Say... can I see your feet?"

Val, however, was philosophically pissed. "The conflict, therefore, is not between females and males, but between The Groovy Gang-- dominant, secure, self-confident, nasty, violent, selfish, independent, proud, thrill-seeking, free-wheeling, arrogant females, who consider themselves fit to rule the universe, who have free-wheeled to the limits of this `society' and are ready to wheel on to something far beyond what it has to offer -- and nice, passive, accepting `cultivated', polite, dignified, subdued, dependent, scared, mindless, insecure, approval-seeking Daddy's Girls, who can't cope with the unknown, who want to hang back with the apes, who feel secure only with Big Daddy standing by, with a big strong man to lean on and with a fat, hairy face in the White House, who are too cowardly to face up to the hideous reality of what a man is, what Daddy is, who have cast their lot with the swine, who have adapted themselves to animalism, feel superficially comfortable with it and know no other way of `life', who have reduced their minds, thoughts and sights to the male level, who, lacking sense, imagination and wit can have value only in a male `society', who can have a place in the sun, or, rather, in the slime, only as soothers, ego boosters, relaxers and breeders, who are dismissed as inconsequents by other females, who project their deficiencies, their maleness, onto all females and see the female as worm," she ranted. Then she pulled her fist back and swung forward.
"PFAH! A CAVE. ONLY A WORTHLESS-TO-ME SUPERHERO WOULD DENY HIMSELF THE LUXURY OF A LAVISH MANSION AND LIVE IN DIRT, IN ORDER TO LIVE FOR OTHERS INSTEAD OF HIMSELF."

"There is no human reason for money or for anyone to work more than two or three hours a week at the very most. All non-creative jobs (practically all jobs now being done) could have been automated long ago, and in a moneyless society everyone can have as much of the best of everything as she wants. But there are non-human, male reasons for wanting to maintain the money system," Val said as she fired a devastating kick towards Rand's head.

The blow caught Rand in the head and knocked her to the floor. Placing her cigarette holder in her mouth for a second, she Brought herself up in a swift motion. Then, she charged at Val and stuck her lit cigarette holder deep in the Groovy Gang woman's eye, its burning ember boring deep into her optic nerve.

"DAS SVIDANYA, BRUTE! I DO NOT RECOGNIZE ANYONE'S RIGHT TO ONE MINUTE OF MY LIFE. . . . THE WORLD IS PERISHING FROM AN ORGY OF SELF-SACRIFICING!"

Of course Val's eye didn't bleed. But it hurt like hell. Almost as much as when her play was stolen. "Prior to the institution of automation, to the replacement of males by machines, the male should be of use to the female, wait on her, cater to her slightest whim, obey her every command, be totally subservient to her, exist in perfect obedience to her will, as opposed to the completely warped, degenerate situation we have now of men, not only not only not existing at all, cluttering up the world with their ignominious presence, but being pandered to and groveled before by the mass of females, millions of women piously worshiping the Golden Calf, the dog leading the master on a leash, when in fact the male, short of being a drag queen, is least miserable when his dogginess is recognized -- no unrealistic emotional demands are made of him and the completely together female is calling the shots," She said pulling out her .32 automatic pistol and shot her three times.

Before Val fired her shots, Ayn was tuning out her long rant, and gazed in glorious wonder at Megatron, Voltron and Grimlock....

"SHTO? WHY - LOOK AT THOSE GLORIOUS, TOWERING, RATIONAL MACHINES! SURELY THEY ARE THE PINNACLE OF REASON, OF MAN'S HIGHEST MORAL ACHIEVEMENTS! THEY STAND BRAVELY, TOWERING HEROICALLY ALONE AMIDST A CONFORMING HERD."

Then Val pulled out her gun.....

"ENOUGH OF YOU, HIDEOUS BEAST! TREMBLE BEFORE THE MIGHT OF .... MECHAYN RAND!!!!!!"

http://www.cordair.com/gaetano/images/stamp.jpg

Upon completion of her transformation into an 8 foot tall mecha, she cackled madly as Val's shots rang off of her.
Ted took a moment from his gluing to admire Ayn. "She should defiantly be a Queen. After all I'm allowed 140 wives. 60 to be my queens and 80 to be my concubines."
"PFAH! YOU ARE TINY AND WEAK NOW. I EXIST ONLY FOR THE GIANT LIVING BUILDINGS! I WISH FOR THEM TO TAKE ME ON THIS DIRTY CAVE FLOOR"
Val wasn't taken back by Ayn's transformation. "Both destruction and killing will be selective and discriminate." She aimed a second time and fired three shots into the Ayndroid's eyes and then ran around the rapidly growing pool of glue.

http://i154.photobucket.com/albums/s255/Esrom_album/boardpics/shadowcat.jpg Kitty had seen and experienced many strange things since joining the X-Men. She had seen giant killer robots, monstrous insect aliens, deadly amusement parks, giant space whales, and otherdimensional demons. But the Groovy Gang had to be one of the craziest groups she'd ever run across. They were now spreading glue all over the floor to catch her, as part of a plan that was truly absurd.

"Guys, I don't know what it is you're on, but you've clearly had too much of it." Kitty began. "Do you really think you're going to catch a ghost ... or a mutant who can make herself intangible like a ghost ... with glue?"

Kitty quickly phased herself, and walked right past the glue. "By the way, I hope someone's up to cleaning up that mess you just made."

Kitty then turned, to see Ayn Rand transformed into an eight foot tall mecha. "I'm not REALLY seeing that, am I?"

And finally Part IV...

"THERE ARE ONLY TWO MEANS BY WHICH MEN CAN DEAL WITH ONE ANOTHER: GUNS OR LOGIC. FORCE OR PERSUASION. THOSE WHO KNOW THEY CANNOT WIN BY MEANS OF LOGIC, HAVE ALWAYS RESORTED TO GUNS."

"YOU CLEARLY HAVE NO LOGIC, LESBIAN." And then the mechanical monstrosity lunged at Val. However, she mistimed her lunge and instead fell into the vast mass of industrial strength Bat-Glue. She attempted to recover from her lunge, but only tangled herself up in jerky, awkward, laughable movements.

"The Groovy Gang will coolly, furtively, stalk its prey and quietly move in for the kill," Val said quietly walking into the supply closet and returning with a large barrol of an industrial strength solvent on a dolly. She rolled it to the head the the Mechayn, poped the top, and tipped it over. "The Groovy Gang will keep on destroying, looting, fucking-up and killing until the money-work system no longer exists and automation is completely instituted or until enough women co-operate with the Groovy Gang to make violence unnecessary to achieve these goals, that is, until enough women either unwork or quit work, start looting, leave men and refuse to obey all laws inappropriate to a truly civilized society," she said as she poured the solvent into Ayn's ear.

"YOU- YOU - BZZZT" The Ayndroid's body sizzled and crackled as the solvent took effect. "SELFISH SELF INTEREST - BZZZZZT - IMMORAL - BZZT - WHERE IS THE RED BOLSHEVIK WHORE - BZZZT - WHO KILLED MY SPOTTY-MAN - BZZZZT - I LOVE YOU NICHOLAS BZZZZT - I LOVE YOU VOLTRON - BZZZZZtttttttttttt"

And thus, in the end, she became a heap of corroded scrap metal.

"Way to capture that ghost Val!" Ted said giving Val a high. "But the Giant Mechanical Ayn Rand Ghost was really..." Ted started rummaging around inside the melted metal "Ayn Rand!"

He pulled her out of the destroyed machinery.

"Way to go Ted! I knew you'd figure out who the ghost was!" Patty said happily.

"Right now I'm too proud to punish you for your insolence," Ted said, "But when we get home you're getting a sound thrashing Patty."

"It's what I deserve Ted."

"But the first clue I had that the Giant Mechanical Ayn Rand Ghost was really Ayn Rand was when Ayn Rand transformed into the Giant Mechanical Ayn Rand Ghost!"

"Oh that is such good detective work!"

"Shut up Patty before I strangle you."

"I'll be quiet Ted."

"My second clue was when the Giant Mechanical Ayn Rand Ghost began quoting Ayn Rand. I figured something was fishy about this. You see Ayn Rand wanted to scare everyone away so she could have sex with robots!"

"AND I WOULD HAVE GOTTEN AWAY WITH IT IF IT HADN'T BEEN FOR YOU MEDDLING KIDS AND YOUR STUPID DOG!"

At which point Groovy leapt and ripped out Ayn's throat while the rest of the Groovy Gang laughed.

10 000 BC is'nt as good as Independence day or The day after tomorow.
It got big plot holes.

I still remember when I saw ID,it got a standing hovation! It was that good.

I did find the chicken scene on youtube.bad quality.
http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=N7XBMJFXQeU

It's freezing outside here.
At least my car was'nt buried in snow.

Lots of peoples had to leave theyre cars on the highway yesturday.including patrols cars.I never saw anything like it.
The people had to be taken to shelters.
Lot's of cars are probably still stuck.

Bad quality is an understatement. Saw the chickens on the 10,000 BC website. :)

Happy your car is still working.

I have to admit that was one (small) fun part about our Los Angeles exile... Walking my daughter to school in January, when it got down to about 45 degrees overnight... I'd have my jacket open, Guin would be wearing a sweater, and we could giggle at the Angelenos in down coats, scarves, mittens and with knit caps pulled down over their ears.

Of course, they looked at * like WE were the crazy ones...US*

speaking of de-stressing, i had an idea on stream-lining elections

I was remembering an episode of Kids Next Door, Operation: I.T., where Numbuh 362, Supreme Leader of the KND, felt the job was too big for her; she gathered all the operatives in one place, and initiated a world-wide game of Tag, where whoever was It at noon the next day would be the new Supreme Leader.

Wouldn't something like that greatly cut alot of crap from elections? Imagine, everyone who wanted to run for President, Senator, Prime Minister, etc, would gather at the appropriate capital the day before Election Day, and play Tag for 24 hours. Whoever was It at noon on Election Day would be put in office.

There is a cafeteria next to the main entrance where I work. A few minutes ago I heard shouting while watching Versus on my laptop so I went into the cafeteria to see what the hell was important enough to distract me from my DVD. Anyway they were watching female Sumo wrestling on TV as on of the cable channels was broadcasting a replay of the heavy weight championship in Japan. I know this is a very dumb question, but if I don't ask it it's going to bother me all day. Are the wires, plugs, etc from the monitor to the computer tightly secured? If they are loose than that would cause the picture to go in and out at times.

It's tightly connected. Problem is, when you turn the computer on, monitor stays off sometimes. Remove the monitor and plug it in elsewhere, sometimes still won't come on. After a few tries, it then powers up.
