lester, sometimes i just want to give you a hug...mmm oreos <homeresque droolage>...to answer you question, i've never really been a fan of sue, so if i mention "storm" chances are it will never been in reference to sue storm...i always thought ororo was cool, and growing up she was that much more important to me in that there weren't a lot of black comic book characters especially black women, it probably sounds silly, but in away, i felt validated as a person simply because she existed. as i got older and began to understand things better, my love of the character grew that much more because it was no longer storm being a character that reflected what i looked like physically, but she came to represent the kind of woman i had hoped i would grow up to be, strong; fearless; loyal; reliable; and pragmatic...i haven't gotten to that "regal" part of her personality, but 5 outta 6 ain't bad..;)

Oh yeah! I love the Fantastic Four. By far my favorite characters to ever appear in comics.

And I don't think many people get Sue. She is a smart, powerful, witty, excellent leader with an extraordinary business mind. The problem being that she is the one who has to hold the entire group together. Reed is stuck in his lab unless she pulls him out. Johnny is reckless and immature unless he has Sue to ground him. And Ben sulks and with draws with out her. Plus she has to raise two children. This makes some people (and even some writers) think she is a bland boring character since she is always taking care of someone.

But they ignore things like she built Fantastic Four Enterprises on her own and turned it into one of the most successful companies on Marvel Earth. All with out having a college education.

Or the fact that she is the person who normally speaks for the Fantastic Four during press conferences.

Or that she is a brilliant leader in her own right.

Or that she is quite the wit and offers the dry observation on the situations they get themselves into.

Word. Sometimes we have to let go of people who don't have to courage to tell us what they need to say. It's not easy, and it hurts. I do think, with time, the pain will fade. When people ask me "how's so and so," I'm no longer feeling that sting, or concerned about what they are up to.

I just tried out CSI this year,both the original and miami. Have not seen NY yet. Loved the original show,and enjoy grissom and sara the best,and enjoy all the supporting cast as well.

For me,Miami IS Horitio. The momment he is not involved in a show,it goes downhill. Can not stand any of the other actors.

I was in Modesto back then and even I wasn't I didn't have insurance back then. As far as saving for a new goes, I just went out and bought a new one. One with a 2.33 dual core processor and Nvida 8 thousand something video chip. The damn thing was over two grand but worth it. I'm going to feel guilty when I put it in storage after the quad core chips come out.

seriously, that was one of the cool things about my old job...we have monographs from as far back as the 16th and 17th century...a lot of them were bibles...and the binding and coverings are amazing...since i was the one who had to refile everything, sometimes i would just sit around and page through them just so i could feel their texture and inhale the musk from them. it was very cool...kinda finding buried treasure.
