Yeah, that was around ... 1993? Jack in the Box had some poisoned meat and people who ended up eating there ended up with more diseases than Paris Hiltons pap smear. Isn't that why they brought Jack back as a means of PR spin?

Amazingly, that would be 10 years after the classic, and oddly prescient, Firesign Theater fast-food commercial parody "Rat in a Box (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CyDxQqWQ8sE)". (Note: May not be suitable for the more delicate-natured members of our company.)

The good thing about Nintendo is that they make games for kids and people who don't normally play games. That's all well and good but it leaves those into specific genres out in the cold.

Franklin Roosevelt, not JFK. It was his first inaugural address, when the nation was stuck deep in the Depression. He was about to introduce some pretty drastic new programs and was speaking, in part, on the dangers of being to afraid to take action when you couldn't know the outcome.

Ooookkkay ... so I have the day off, and Daddy decided that it's time to clean out my lil bratty brothers room. Mostly because it stinks. Probably because he's been in his room a lot downloading hentai, forgetting to throw away the food, and letting the soda soak into the rug. Knowing him, he's probably peeing on the walls, but that's a whole 'nother issue ... Anyway, we just finished ripping out the rug, and this weekend, we're painting and refurbishing it.

Any ideas on how we can control this kid? I suggested installing bars and chains so we can keep him penned up, but maybe you guys have better ideas :)

with the exception of reliving myself on the wall that was me back in high school. My brother too had to clean out my room.:o

I'm in such a good mood right now that I'm going to skip all the fake mean spirted banter perhaps forever. For the first time in a long time, thanks to Heystacy, I'm writing fiction again. I spent the whole shift at my work wring the outline for what I simply call The Book for now.

I even did the rough draft for chapter one. I can't believe I forgot that my purpose in life is to write novels and that the being a lawyer was always suppose to be the back up plan. Somehow that got reversed over the years. Right now despite my exhaustion I feel like a coma victim that has just woken up after being asleep for years. I just feel so alive right now and grateful.

I love all of you guys, but today Stacy is my favorite poster of all time because he challenged me to reawaken something I thought dead.:)

My writing sucks more than a gay porn star.

No such thing as a polished first draft. Like leather shoes, if you polish/edit your writing you will be amazed at the startaling transformation once your work is polished.

If your problem comes are structural in nature, then write an outline. It saves a lot of time as your work will be tightly crafted and you won't write yourself into corners.

My problem is that I'm supposed to be writing fiction and I can't since I can only write dialog.

Maybe you should combine both. For instance ... write the inner monologue of some guy who ... I dunno ... some guy who was born about 400 years ago in ... well, somewhere near England or something, but the guy is still alive. Let's say that this guy has had a whole buncha jobs, like mercenary, male prostitute, and homeless bum ... and he's always having to fight off other long-lived homeless bums in combat to the death because they're all a buncha pricks. The winner takes his enemy's head ... and with it, his power. Let's also make this guy part of a secret society, and call them the Witchers ... no, that's kinda dumb ... the Watchers? No, that's kinda dumb too ... The Homeless Bums. Yeah, that makes sense.

We need you to get in a describing mode. It only takes a few moments, and enough words to get people's minds stirred.

Example: Sylvia walked in the room as proud as a peacock. She nervously smiled, as she looked at the deteriorated walls and unclean floors. She realized she should have not worn white, or her designer clothes. A custodian who drenched a mop in dirty waters stopped and looked at her, then at her fellow cleaners.

"Where you going at all dressed like that? This ain't no damn gala." The custodian said tickling herself. The other workers were soon laughing as well.

Sylvia shed tears, as she cursed under her breath. "Damn community service."

Ahem.

...if I were single!

I've been researching some cat boarding places in Las Vegas, and one of them mentions that their little kennels have TVs playing nature videos in them. I've never noticed my cat to care about what's on TV at all or to show any real interest in nature videos. Do cats really notice what's on TV?

My cat Sandy always stares at the monitor whenever something is moving on it. I was kinda surprised by that. She seems amused by what's going on when I'm playing a game.

It's almost time for me to pick next quarter's class. I'm settling for writing for new media. It's one of the classes within my major. The time is perfect. Actually there are a bunch of places where I could see some editing is needed, but here it is...

Her name is Vivian, and she drunkenly sways across the dance floor. She began drinking long before her friends drove her to the club, and she started drinking one of those vodka concoctions upon arriving. She is, quite clearly, not in the best frame of mind. She mightily enjoys the techno-hip hop fusion they play here, but she chose her footwear for their physical appearance and how well they would accentuate her legs rather than the practicalities of dancing all night. So she dances only for single songs and takes long breaks between.

As she leaves the floor she trips and falls, a combination of her poor choice of footwear and her poor understanding of when it is proper to stop drinking. Her girlfriend reaches out and catches her. Vivian doesn’t look like a lesbian, or at least not the way most people think lesbians look, with her long blond hair, low cut top and copious amounts of makeup. She doesn’t think of herself as a lesbian either. She knows she likes women, she knows she has never had an orgasm until she met the woman she is currently dating, and yet she won’t think of herself as anything other than straight.

She hobbles off the dance floor to the bar to get another vodka laced drink. It has been a good night for her.

Generally I never buy an anime series that goes more than 26 episodes and my research shows that D Grey Man is such an anime. I do this because anime story arc of shows that are aired concurrent with the magna it's based on always becomes convoluted, stretched out, and extremely padded. This is due to the fact that animators have to stall for time to let whatever magna the show is based on to catch up to the anime. As a result you will have an entire string of episodes where the characters stare at each other, new meaning dull storyline not existent in the magna, boring as fights that take place over six episodes etc.

Depends on the book. I've read some manga I don't care for, however I have read some gems.

I don't mind black and white, so long as it doesn't look washed out and there is some mix of shading and toning.

I remember Jademan comics. They were hardcore. The colors were impressive.

As far as manga, some of the styles catch my eyes and I want to look at them more. I do wish more were in color, but that's how it is.

I think CLAMP is very stylish, although the longer the manga they make, the more convoluted it gets. X/1999 is good, but so long and drawn out. Rayearth was good, and Clover went nowhere. The anime movie adapted from X was good. The TV series is drawn out and I hated the ending.

An idea you no doubt got from and eighties cartoon, and not the silly hippy crap you people had to watch in the seventies or the politically correct sissy crap that they showed in the nineties. And being the child of the seventies you are "Brick" means something the DEA would arrest you for rather than what you use to build a house. A real house damn it, not that aluminum siding stuff that again came out of the seventies.

And the people who watched Bugs went on to win World War 2 and shape the nation into what it is today. It wasn't until the sixties where it all went to hell. I'm telling you, you can use cartoons to identity cultural shifts in this country.

I was kidding. Damn it, I knew I should have had an emoticon at the end of that last sentence.

I finished watching the Ergo Proxy anime this morning. It was kick-ass but confusing. I need some smart person to explain everything to me.

Now I'm watching the second disc of The Third: The Girl With The Blue Eye. It's really good so far. Really appealing characters.

The show looks good but there is no box set out yet, not even bootleg ones which is shocking, so no I'm going to have to ergo the anime with a proxy show like Trinity Blood.

I don't like naruto either. That kid annoys me. :(

It is hard to find good anime. At one point I stopped watching. Saw the Ghost in the Shell Solid State movie last night. I am addicted to this show.

Hard for me to get into anime. Too used to seeing people reading it at B&N with one hand. And the frequent thefts there.

Half our sercurity cameras are pointed to the anime section. For good reason too.
