OMG he still annoys me. LOL

Yeah, me too. I was at the comic book store a few months ago, and there was this book that showcased Star Wars art from the comics and the books. I flipped through it and had an epiphany.

If the movies looked even a quarter as cool as some of the art, it would have been a million times better. I don't know who any of those characters are, but they looked badass.

I didn't realize there was more to him than just a bit part. He was cool. Lame geek girl that I am, I was disappointed that he didn't do more with the female Jedi. The few I remember seeing were pretty cool looking.

I kind of liked Star Wars as much for the weird little background characters as anything. The Cantina scene in the first movie is still my favorite scene from all of the films.

You didn't miss anything with Revenge of the Sith. Anikin's lack of character motivation was so blatant it mocks the story. Good DVD to fall asleep on. How the hell Chewbacca made it in there is so stupid.

There was a two year period where Sabrina constantly posted pictures of Adrian which included, but was not limited too, several pictures of Adrian's posterior. Some people will do anything for attention. Sk716 summed it up by saying that Adrian Paul was Fugly and a waste of a mancrush. Just had a rude customer today, I walked past and she stared at me like she'd never seen a human being before, and just as the doors of warehouse I heard her say "My God! She's tiny!".

She didn't even bother lowering her voice, either.

I hate people who use words like 'dainty', 'tiny' and 'doll-like' to describe me.

I already know I am those things, I really don't need (Or want!) to be reminded of that!

Maaaaan, I hate that so much. I think it's why I love being around pediatrics, the kids never tease me. I've kinda learned to deal with it, but it really does suck. I wish I had HelloKittyKat's body.

I've been in the airport/in planes since 10 a.m. for a transcontinental from NYC to San Jose, CA. My original flight was canceled, but Delta didn't call to notify me of this because I booked the flight through Expedia.

So they book me for a flight that left two hours after my original flight out of NYC as well as a different transfer that leaves in about two hours (I'm typing this on a laptop in glorious Salt Lake City).

So rather than arriving in the bay area at 7:00pm, I get into the bay area at 11:00pm, which means that A) I can't get a ride to my folks' place since my parents and my brother will all be at their respective jobs until at least midnight and B) even if I took a cab I couldn't get into my parents' house because I don't have house keys. I'm going to be stranded for at least another 90 minutes after I touch down, and I'll bet good cash money that they've probably lost the bag I checked in which contained all of my clothes and other essentials.

In conclusion, fuck Delta. :)

If my husband kept a journal, I'd see entries like this allatime. :) My condolences. Last time he got travel-crossed, he ended up getting home at 4:30 am from a flight that was SUPPOSED to leave DC for Atlanta at 7:50 pm. The flight actually landed at 3:30am. Sigh.

Let me get this straight. A friendship ended,so everyone in the whole world is hated?

From the sounds like here, some people care,Tommy. Be miserable and upset, but don't lash out at the world,k? After awhile, the world tends to lash back.

If it helps,i don't hate you. And i finally know what "I Love New York" is. :p

(Gives Tommy a Hot Fudge Sundae and his favorite sodapop) Hope you feel better.

That's real sage advice. Nice.

It's taken three months, but the Dean of my program finally got back to me about two of three preliminary classes the college thinks I should take (100 lvl English courses). I loathe repeating myself, especially when I'm footing the bills for these classes.

I am beside myself. I did thank my adviser for working with me. She was really a big help. I think I am going to switch writing programs. At least with the dramatic writing, the prelims would be in something I am not repeating, thus I would be learning.

Definitely going to stay away from Delta for awhile. Those assholes broke the zippers off the bag I checked in. Fuck Delta.

Won't they let you "test out" on those classes? IIRC, it used to be that schools would let you take a placement test to test out on low level courses like English 100...

Oh, and it's been worse, Infra: There's been times when the flights were canceled, and he couldn't come home until the next *day*. That really sucks, especially when next day is a Saturday.

This last time, he'd gotten to Ronald Reagan a.p. around 2:30pm. They canceled the 3:30 flight, so he couldn't try to take it and get home early... then there was some snow, then other issues that made the original flight (7:50) not get there until after midnight. He ended up sitting in the airport for nearly 12 hrs.

One time they even had a delay because the incoming plane was delayed and the co-pilot had thus exceeded his limit of 15 hrs of flight time (FAA rule)... so they were then waiting on a different plane to come in, to see if the co-pilot on IT could then shift planes and fly them to Atlanta.

Airlines were bad before, but since 9/11 they've gone to hell in a handbasket, with half of 'em shutting down outright, and the rest teetering on bankruptcy (at least, it seems that way). Sigh.

I'm really glad you made it home safe. When all is said and done, that's the one thing that truly counts.,

Well, don't back down. Administrators like to bluff people down, especially if doing as they're asked means more work. (And that goes for administrative staffs, too.) It may be a pain in the ass, but most of the time, if you are bulldog tough and harder to move than a bulldozer, eventually you can get some cooperation on stuff like this... but sometimes, it also means working your way up the food chain to the top. For that matter, there's been times when I *knew* a flunkie was giving me the runaround on what they can and can't do (and hey, I'm not an 18 yr. old freshman who doesn't know the ropes---like they are USED to dealing with)... so I broke it off and went straight to the top: the VP of Student Affairs.

Guess what? I was right, and the problem got fixed, asap.

Ditto for going to the actual Registrar, etc. (instead of dealing with a parttime employee in the Registrar's office who works the desk, and said "we can't do that/we don't have that" when I knew damn well they could, and did).

Be the bulldozer. Feel the bulldozer. You can be a nice bulldozer, initially, when you approach the high point on the food chain (or someone you haven't spoken with before)... but it's very much alright to become the nasty, "I can chew up steel pipes and spit them out as nails at 100 yds." bulldozer, if that person then starts giving you the runaround, too.

You have a transcript. They have it. UNLESS they offer absolutely NO equivalent courses for the ones you took (i.e. one of your 100 level classes was on the poetry of Zimbabwe), they are SUPPOSED to give you credit for the class.

Point taken. Thanks. I have been doing some talking about. Even other instructors and department heads.

I've learned they have a simple formula for this program: If you aren't an English major you have to take OUR English classes. Not 300 level, 100 level classes. In my opinion, it's a plot to make me pay more.

Interestingly, the dramatic writing program's dept head was more open and honest and told me that if I had to take a prelim, it would be based on whether I knew enough about stage and film. I'd have to submit 6 scripts, but I got that covered.

You're right. The delivery is spot on. She must be one of the more fun villains to portray. The producers spent their time and money with a lot of TLC.

Admiral Zhao was too serious. Ozai is too serious (any man who would scar his own son for the hell of it-his pride is not all that). Hell, Zuko is too serious. Azula is crazy. Complete off the wall crazy, and complex.

i watched an ep. of american dragon on the disney channel and the voice actor for jake long is the same one as zuko's and the even though the voice is basically the same, the timber and mood are distinctly different...mae whitman does a voice on that show too as well as katara's and it's pretty much the same results w/ her line delivery...i think people generally take voice actors for granted...which is insane because they are the ones who really give the characters that added dimension.

I have to say the same thing about Mark Hammill. The Joker, and Ozai are very distinct, and so different from the guy i thought of as Luke Skywalker.

Zuko's voice is so aggressive and angry. Didn't know he was doing Jake long. I'm impressed.

VA's also influence the directors. Sokka was supposed to be more low key (forgot where I read that), but the directors ran with the energy the VA delivered.

Good night. :)

Everything! O_O :D

you only had yourself to blame...;)

I guess.

i watched an ep. of american dragon on the disney channel and the voice actor for jake long is the same one as zuko's and the even though the voice is basically the same, the timber and mood are distinctly different...mae whitman does a voice on that show too as well as katara's and it's pretty much the same results w/ her line delivery...i think people generally take voice actors for granted...which is insane because they are the ones who really give the characters that added dimension.

There was this thread over in Rumbles, where people listed the voices they heard when they read someones post.

One of mine was Mae Whitman/Katara. :P

Oh my God!:D
I know we've said it before but that show has THE best editors.:D
