I did indeed darling! I went to see the leaning tower (of course! It has to be done:smile:) and we spent some time in Venice too (Which is so crammed with tourists it's unbeleivable:eek:)

And we had FAR too much wine, met some VERY cute Italian girls and enjoyed the night life here in Lake Como. It's been great! I can't wait to show you all the pictures!

1. The standard monthlies I get (all 6 of them) plus First Wave I'll be getting.
2. There's a couple of new monthlies that caught my eye (Doc Savage & The Spirit) but I don't know just yet with the 3.99 price tag, even with the back-up stories. Also Brian Wood's DV8 is out, but I'll wait for TPB.
3. Lots of trades that caught my eye. And some random ones too. I know I was like one of the 10 people that bought the original series, but Vertigo is putting out vol. 1 of Codename:Knockout? Random! Also great seeing the Viking Prince HC being solicited.
4. The Adam Hughes Covers HC- I've been asking that old fucker Bob Wayne for over 6 years to put out more cover artists covers. I mean Sandman/McKean got a HC for his covers, Glenn Fabry got one for his Preacher ones. Yet Hughes, Bradstreet, and Dave Johnson get shit and they've done over 100 covers for DC alone to fill up a HC. Now they're getting smart and putting out Hughes. The fanbase is fucking built in... a no brainer. They finally got it right; took forever but it's there

But I've wanted to see a Mexican wrestler supernatural hero since well before that. My main inspiration being either one of these three things, or any combination, or all (these things get fuzzy):
1. Watching Hellboy and Nacho Libre too close together.
2. Seeing someone's avatar that had Hellboy with a masked wrestler (can't remember who had it or how long ago, but I wish I knew where they had got it).
3. They have a masked wrestler on B Movie Comic.

I will admit, hearing about El Superbeasto did make me think about it again some more, and made me decide such a character would be better as a main character rather than side or supporting.

And those are all my inspirations.
