It frightens me that Jimmy Olsen has had a more successful love life than most super heroes
Suddenly him randomly appearing in Mary Marvel's house has terrifying new meaning. He just wants to rule the universe so he can get laid!
I thought he wanted Mary as a concubine anyway.

Looking at Bettle's posting history she got the ban for yelling at another poster. To be fair the other poster got a temp ban too. We all know that Bettle is normally the sweetest person on the planet but she's going through some heavy shit right now that would give anyone a short fuse. I really wish the best and hope she comes through everything stronger for having faced adversity and winning.

Dang, too late now, but I meant to tell you our family secret for getting out of jury duty.
Whenever we've gotten called in, we take a book by Piers Anthony called "For Love of Evil".
When they get to the point of talking to you, they generally ask what you're reading, so you can honestly tell them that it's a book about Satan and He is the hero.
About that time is usually when they send you home.
What Kris did was dress like an Emo Girl, wearing all black and with pale makeup. I think it may have scared the lawyers off, because she got outta it!
What hapened with Kris?
Had to almost do jury duty! But now she's home free! It's kinda a shame too, I wanted her to serve as a jurist in The People vs. Lester Carthan! I think the first witness was gonna be the entire Chicago Library system!

I like it. Just wish I could do the art right.
Plus it's a more comedic take than what's actually in my head.
The general idea of the story I want to tell is to come up with a joke character (a guy with the powers of a squid) but play him and his world straight. The villains are, for the most part, also joke ideas, but again, played serious (except Jetter, who's played humorous at first, but only to let people off their guard for later developments [you'll feel sorry for him]). I want to do a lot of sad and dark stuff in it, but to have none of the characters be angsty about it (I hate angst). They just try and struggle through, and things get worse.
Mind you, the story in my head is actually like the first three or four years' (in story time) story arcs.

Yeah, and one of my problems is, not only do I not have any natural talent for it, but little to no patience to develop some small skill in it either. I just can't stick with something for years, my attention wanders, my frustration rises.
Also, I got so much I want to express right away, and trying to express it takes too much time and I get ticked off.

Chinese film, where a young woman enters marriage only to become the fourth wife. She must navigate skillfully to adapt and to attain her husband's affection.

Polygamy. The man was wealthy so he had four wives. It was a strict relationship.
My guess is not every woman is subject to polygamy, but clearly there is a rule where the woman is subject to the man's whims. She looses a lot of her identity. Bearing a male child means good fortune.

Man, that's messed up.
Poor women. I didn't know China allowed polygamy.
Well, maybe the film will draw attention to it.
I got nothing against polygamy in theory, if everyone's happy and jazz, but in practice I believe it tends to be bad and demeaning to women.
Which sounds ass backwards, cause when I hear of a guy with four wives, my brain keeps throwing up this image of some poor schmuck being henpecked by all four while getting groceries in the super market.
Just saying, I know that's not how it usually is, but that's what my mind keeps wanting to tell me...

Hey, if they didn't show it when I was watching TV, I don't know it.
That's not kids these days, that's everyone all days.
Especially when you consider the difference between American and British television.
What's a real crime though is there are kids now who don't know about the Munsters or Gilligan's Island.

The man controlled the home, and was steeped in old customs. The red lanters signified which room the husband slept at.
The film ends on a bummer, BUT it it a beautiful film and I didn't notice how time flew by as I watched it.
Some say the film is a critique on China itself. It does not openly criticize the government, but infers.

Additional note: Hollywood films tend to have romances. Casting the villainess as the potential lover makes for sparks.
Of course the villain must be saved by the man she loved/loathed for a while.

It was a young Galactus, during one of his many nights on the town during his all carbs diet craze. Remember that? Though I don't think tequila counts as a carb, no one had the heart to tell him. Man was drunk as hell and high on the pills. Just ask Reed, he was there, puking out his lungs. God, I told Galactus/Facade we needed to get Reed some help, but he was too far gone to listen to me. So I left with Deadpool to go pick up chicks for a while, and when I came back Reed was curled up in the corner cradling a dead chicken, Lord only knows where he got it, muttering some crazy stuff, out his poor addled mind, and Galactus was gone. Naturally Deadpool wanted to fry up the chicken, but I figured my 'date' for the evening was feeling a little squeamish about the whole thing, so we left him to it. The next day I found Galactus passed out outside the apartment, covered in webbing and used prophylactics and muttering something about Spider-Man and twinkies. I called Reed, but he wasn't answering, and I wasn't feeling quite drunk enough to call and deal with Deadpool that morning, and my date Brant had left, so I had to help the guy up alone. I threw him in the bathtub, turned on the cold shower, and let nature take its course.
What I'm getting at with this whole Facade thing is, cocaine is a hell of a drug.
The fried chicken was good though. Pool knows his stuff.
This other time, me and the guys decided to drop in on Iron Man's big party, cause Stark didn't invite us. Now, I could understand not including me, Deadpool, Galactus, or even Reed, but still, we felt insulted. Except for Reed, but we didn't listen to him no ways, and he quickly gave up and got liquored up, so it was all good. Stark seemed ticked as all heck to see us. Well, Galactus and Deadpool, he don't know me and Reed's okay (or so Stark thinks, and we didn't have the heart to tell him otherwise). Now, things seemed to be going okay despite the rough start, Reed was loosing up, Galactus wasn't hungry yet so long as we kept him with a steady supply of beer, wine, and party food, and Deadpool, well, I told him I'd get him a monkey if he could beat the Hulk in a staring contest, and then told him some random guy was Bruce Banner. I figured it'd keep him out of everyone's hair long enough for me to try and get Potts away from Tony. Go figure I'd be the one to screw things up, turns out that was Bruce Banner. So there you have Hulk rampaging on what little then constituted as Deadpool's head, Tony's going all armored adventures on us, and I miss my chance with the redhead. I go collect Reed and Galactus, see if any of them wants to go clean the mess, but as usual big purple can't be bothered with puny mortal stuff, and Reed get's thrown out a window. So there I am, trying to talk down the Hulk while Mr. Money-bags Stark is trying to detain Deadpool from making the green guy anymore angry. Now trying to talk down the Hulk is like trying to talk down Godzilla, but with more roaring. So he's roaring, and I'm roaring, and the next thing you know he takes a swing at me and I trip over my own feet dodging. But then along comes Betty and suddenly things is all hunky dory with Banner (not that I blame him, Betty's a fox!). So Tony shouts 'Out' like it's our fault (which it is) and I'm just praying he goes alkie again and forgets who the hell I am.
And now I owe Pool a monkey.

How are women treated in China? I don't know about the subject.
Not well. Not that they're severely beaten or anything, but...
Since boys are the ones who tend to carry on the family name, they're more important than the girls.
When the girl marries someone, she leaves the family and joins her husband's. This makes putting money into education (for example) for a girl child, a bad investment because you're paying for what will be ultimately someone else's daughter (in law).
Or at least that's what my family told me things were like back in the old country. Probably varies by village.
THANK GOD ITS FRIDAY... But I'm still at work.

1: Don't walk under ladders

3: Don't take any stupid dares to test how real local urban legends/ghost stories are
4: DO NOT take your boyfriend/girlfriend to scenic, secluded and abandoned Camp Crystal Lake to make out with them.

Yes, he actually managed to take Megatron out, successfully, in the first episode.
Unfortunately he didn't bank on one thing. In all the time he'd spent wanting to lead the Decepticons he apparently hadn't noticed none of them would follow him. So they abandoned him halfway through his victory speech (Poor Screamer)
He also winds up immortal in Season 2, leading to a hillarious "Death" montage where he keeps trying to kill Megatron, keeps getting killed, comes back to life and then tries again.

Dick stood in the locker room, as Bruce walked up to him. "Bruce, you didn't have to be here."
Bruce smiled softly and said, "I know, but life isn't about the breath you take, the breathing in and out, that gets you through the day." Putting a hand on Dick's shoulder he added, "you might miss the point, in trying to win the race, it's about the moments that take your breath away."
Holding his baseball helmet, Dick smiled and looked up at Bruce, "thanks."
"No, thank you. You did great today," Bruce complimented.
"But we lost? I screwed up." Dick replied.
"Yeah, but you had fun, and you'll learn from your mistakes." Handing Dick the ring, his Father had given him, Bruce said. "watching you play gave me great joy, the joy that my Dad never got to have with me, so I want you to have this, my Dad gave this to me. So, I'm giving this to you."
Dick took the ring, and held back his tears, his face overcome with emotion, "I- I"
"Take it, you're as much a son to me, as I am to Alfred." Bruce patted Dick on the back, "remember it's about the moments that take your breath away, I'll be outside."
Watching Bruce walk away, Dick broke down inside, tonight Bruce had a big meeting but he gave that up for him. The fourteen year old clenched the ring in his hand, as he learned that day, that there are somethings in life that are more important than Batman and Robin, and that was family.
