This is a tough one. I usually go for academic jobs. In my case I see what local colleges are offering. They have their own job listings and procedures on their websites. I am qualified to be an admin assistant, conference coordinator, or (no duh) a library assistant. I tend to look for jobs like those.

First thing: You, your brother & his girlfriend (did they get married-not sure) know the truth. That is the important thing. Being brothers means your children will be bound to have similarities. That's a matter of genetics.

The next thing is I am not sure who would be so shallow as to say something like that. Why should that stop you from hanging out with your brother and girlfriend? Is the person saying that shit always around? Some people need to be told a joke isn't always funny, or in good taste. I wouldn't let someone ruin your happy times because they lack tact.
