Ok..back for a second...leaving soon for a movie, and already had some awful news this morning about a favorite comic book artist.

Shisho, sorry about your grandfather. I hope you are ok.
I wanted that book, but never could find a copy to purcharse at SDCC. How was it? A in depth review, please?

Aggie: I double dogged dared you to change the topic. And no,i am not worried about lester talking about mike's ass.

Lester: I just lied to Aggie. You worry me.

Stacy: You are IN CHARGE. Keep a eye on these pervs.

Tommy: You are in charge of Stacy. You are insane, and will usually counter every sane thing stacy will want to do.

Bree and Kris: You two are awesomesauce. Just keep posting,so i have some fun things to read if i get back.

HelloKittyKat: Don't Kill Me,no matter what Lester says. And you are super cute. AND a former martial artist? Wow. I hope you can correct the problem with your hip/back. Any chances?

Not until next week. Until then, my masters degree is only good for logging on the freshman who haven't recieved their laptops yet. Right now, I'm just a desk monkey. I suppose I could do some collection development, but that consists of looking through a stack of Choice cards and putting them in the "yes" and "no" stack.

I know. Such a tough gig.

Funny, lots of cuss words, and stuff that you'd have to read over because your brain just can't process the weirdness of what it is you just read. I had to shake my head a few times. I don't think I'd go so far as to call Warren Ellis a hero. The man fascinates me though. I'd love to know what makes him tick. We're supposed to have fun here. I don't see why people have to take it so seriously. For my part, good natured ribbing is always welcome. But To get all huffy over stuff on a comic book forum is just craziness. I don't get it.

Have you ever dabbled in the Expanded Universe? There is a lot of magic in many of the video games, novel and comics. I'm not saying you have to spend your hard earned money, but a trip to your local library might be well worth your time. If you do this you might see Star Wars in a new light as Lucas' child has grown up wonderfully without him.

Yes i have. I read Zhan's original trilogy before the awful sequels came out. Not bad,but his books did not feel like Star Wars movies.

I liked the Dark Empire comics Dark Horse did,but i felt it was silly bringing back Palpatine again.

Played several star wars games, yet to play one i really loved, but i also skipped Jedi Knight games. Knights of the Old Republic was very enjoyable, but it was D&D in space(Bioware used a D20 system for the Baldur's Gate series,Icewind Dale, and Neverwinter Knights games, and used a similar system for KotOR). Not bad at all,but it felt closed in.

But beyond that,i have a friend who loves all things Star Wars, including your "expanded" universe stuff. I just have given up on all franchises starting with Star for the momment.

Tell them all six movies were meh and they need to get their butts to the expanded universe pronto. Tell them that if they need a list of books, comics, and games I'm their man.

I know I've probably said this before, but I was at the comic book store the other day, and I picked up a book that was nothing but Star Wars art, from the books and the comics. I suddenly realized what was wrong with the second trilogy. Lucas lost his cool factor. The fan art and fan fiction (which, let's be honest here, is all the comics and books are) started looking so much more interesting than anything the movies came up with. I don't really care for the stuff outside of the movies, but looking at that art made me want to read the comics, just to see who those characters were. Some of them looked really badass.

Not necessarily. If he going away to school it could be any of those states. Also he's a young man with no kids, and as of yet, no career to speak of so he can go anywhere he wants with no ties to bind him down. Also he wises to work in the Mass Communication industry, and I don't think Ohio is the place where he wants to begin his career.

I've been to Ohio. It's nice and quiet so long as you are a part of the bible belt mentality. God help you if you aren't. Before I learned to keep my mouth shut I damn got into a fight with a man over the age of the planet. He did NOT want to hear about radioactive dating and how the process of mesuring how long it takes unstable atoms becoming stable atoms provides us with a closed system that can be used to give an absolute age of the planet that no one can mess with regardless of their background. When I kept mentioning half lives and radiation he thought I was talking about Fallout. And I was but not in the way he was envisioning.

I once dated a guy who wanted three boys and wanted to give them all names that started with D. His name, incidentally, was Denvel. So the three we settled on (don't ask) were Denvel III, Drake, and Daxson.

Sung to the tune of this song. (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qT1Lixe4QeQ) And yes I know who Akon is. Aggie's gold star system is finally yielding some positive results.

As life goes on I'm starting to learn more and more about responsibility
And I realize that everything I do is affecting the people around me
So I want to take this time out to apologize for things that
I've done things that haven't occurred yet
and things that they don't want to take responsibility for

I'm sorry for the times that I left Night Swordsman home
I was on the road and you were alone
I'm sorry for the times that I had to go
I'm sorry for the fact that I did not know

That you were sitting home just wishing we
Could go back to when we were not talking about his dog and cat
I'm sorry for the times I would neglect
I'm sorry for the times I disrespect

I'm sorry for the wrong things that I've done
I'm sorry I'm not always there for my lebians
I'm sorry for the fact that I'm not aware
That they can't sleep at night when I am not there

Because I'm my house playing video games and posting on YABS like everyday
I'm sorry for the things that I did not say
Like how they are the best things in my world
And how I'm so proud to call you my girls

I understand that there's some problems
And I'm not too blind to know
All the pain you kept inside you
Even though you might not show

If I can't apologize for being wrong
Then it's just a shame on me
I'll be the reason for your pain
And you can put the blame on me

You can put the blame on me
You can put the blame on me
You can put the blame on me
You can put the blame on me

Said you can put the blame on me
Said you can put the blame on me
Said you can put the blame on me
You can put the blame on me

I'm sorry for the things that I put Night Swordsman through by taking his cats
And all the times he didn't know what to do
I'm sorry that he had to go and sell those bags
Just trying to stay busy until you heard from his cat.

When he would rather be home with all his pets
As one big family with love and bliss
And even though his pussy treated him like a king
Lester took his pussy away and he didn’t agree

Pussy got up and left Night there all alone
I'm sorry that he had to beat his dog on his own
I'm sorry that I went and added to your grief
I'm sorry that your Lester was once a thief
[Sorry, Blame It On Me lyrics on http://www.metrolyrics.com]

I'm sorry that I grew up way to fast
I wish I would of listened and not be so bad
I'm sorry that your life turned out this way
I'm sorry that the feds came and took me away

I understand that there's some problems
And I'm not too blind to know
All the pain you kept inside you
Even though you might not show

If I can't apologize for being wrong
Then it's just a shame on me
I’ll be the reason for your pain
And you can put the blame on me

You can put the blame on me
You can put the blame on me
You can put the blame on me
You can put the blame on me

Said you can put the blame on me
Said you can put the blame on me
Said you can put the blame on me
You can put the blame on me

I'm sorry that it took so long to see
But they were dead wrong trying to put it on me
I'm sorry that it took so long to speak
But I was on tour with Hey Stacy

I'm sorry for the hand that Night was dealt
And for the embarrassment that he felt
She's just a little young pussy cat trying to have fun
But Night Swordsman should of never let her out that young

I'm sorry for Club Zen getting shut down
I hope they manage better next time around
How was I to know she was Night Swordsman’s cat
You should always put a collar on your pets they say

Why doesn't anybody want to take blame
Aggie backed out disgracing my name
I'm just a poster trying to entertain
Because I love Trigunfan1 I'll take that blame

Even though the blame's on you
Even though the blame's on you
Even though the blame's on you
I'll take that blame from you

And you can put that blame on me
And you can put that blame on me
You can put that blame on me
You can put that blame on me

And you can put that blame on me

And you can put that blame on me

I don't drink, but today I understand why people do so. I just found out that one of my old co-workers, a guy I really looked up to and respected, is a child molester. According to the national database he was 34 and the female victim was 12. You think you do know people, then you realize you never really knew them.

I know this doesn't make sense, but I don't feel angry right now that he took me in to the point I would have let him watch my kids if I had any. Anger might come later, but right now I feel shocked, hurt and numb. I don't imagine how anyone can rape a child, but the fact that this guy did just blows my mind.

The plus side is that he lost a very good job over failure to disclose his criminal history. Here is how he beat the system. He started off a temp employee and became a permanent employee so he bypassed the usual extensive background check that the company uses on all of it's employees. He'd been there for four years before someone thought to do a background check on him because he was suspected of drug use and was ordered to take a test, which he failed to show up for.

Now anger is setting in. Boy is it ever setting in. While I don't have a son or daughter I do have nieces and nephews and I don't know what I would do if it had been any of them. I hope they revoke his parole and send his duplicitous ass back to jail.

I think it will happen for you once you go to school, for the simple fact that you will meet far more gay people in school than you would out of school. That said remember the purpose of school is to get your diploma, not go out party and get laid. I'm not saying that you can't or shouldn't do that, just don't let it get in the way of your education.

Your not the only one. Singles unite! Actually looking forward to school. Staying at me mum's over the summer is killing me. Also Lester, child molesters are malicious creatures who retain a guise of normalcy. That's how they seduce their victims. They also install a sense of guilt in the child, making them feel as if they deserved it and they actually enjoyed what was going on. These people are reprehensible. Also, I think your computer is possessed by a cyber demon. Better call an exorcist. Or Willow. Maybe she'll bring Buffy along!

Thank God I wasn't there.
I would have been arrested for assault and battery if I had been near the guy and found out what he did.

that's how they operate sweetie. probably the most skilled liars you'll ever come across and that's mainly due to the fact that they don't think what they're doing is wrong.

Weird. That's the response I was thinking.

My only add on, is that child molesters know how to gain people's confidence, and win over children. They rarely change, and will go back to the same activity even after caught.

People know what they should to to live an awesome life, but don't because it means sacrifice, which ultimately leads to the sacrifice of an awesome life. They know that they should diet, but really want that burger and fries. At the same time they know that they should diet, as that is the foundation for a healthy body which in turn is the foundation of all things. So, in order to feel good about the fact they are scarfing 4000 calories they balance that decision by drinking diet coke as if the diet coke by its presence somehow negates the mass over-consumption of calories.

The fact that there are only 3,500 calories in a pound, or that we only burn 50 calories an hour while we are awake escapes them. As does the awesome life.

I don't mind tomatoes or onions. Ketchup on fries for me.

Do you make your own burgers or go out to the local burger joint?

Everyone knows that the best burgers come from local burger joint, rather the the cookie cutter homogenized, frozen then nuked slabs of meat they serve to you at your fast food eatery after it's been waiting on the counter for hours. If you want bland tasteless meat, stale bread, and no, or worse no customization of your sandwich to to Macdonals. If you want a made to oder meal, with fresh ingredients, go to a ma and pa shop that is run by the owners rather than poorly mismanaged from a distance by the franchisers.

Oh and here is a myth I want to bust. People think that if you ask you no ketchup, extra mayo, whatever, that guarantees you a fresh sandwich because they have to make it from scratch. Wrong. When I was in the fast food industry we just lifted the stale bun, wiped off or added the appropriate condiments and called it a day.

I used to work at BK. I know how people get down. Ain't nothing worse than a nasty Whopper where the cheese has melted, lettuce wilted, and the tomatoes have begun to cook.

The phenomena I talked about is goes far beyond food. Everything from saving a little money, while spending excessively on things you don't need to treating your wife like gold while sleeping around falls underneath the phenomena I mentioned earlier about people trying to balance what they know what they have to do, with what they want to do. The people who are successful and live the life they want to lead are honest with themselves, and do the right thing even it means sacrificing what they want in the short run because they have they know what they want in the long run.

Also where the hell is my soap box? I'm been preaching nonstop since I first posted on the Black Canary mini thread.

The point, as you well know, is to dress up while having sex with a woman. You are not alone my friend. Last September Yogo created a thread that had a link to a man and a woman dressed as terradactyls having sex. Here is my favorite exchange from that thread.

Somewhere in Canada this man has gone through yet another box of Kleenex as one of the dinosaurs in the video took bird born to the max!

dont be absurd.i use a sock.

Speaking of quotes I like, I find the not work safe urban definition of terradactyl funny as hell. Wrong as hell, but funny.

I don't want to make the Don't you think this is wrong thread about me so I'm going to post this here.

I wouldn't worry. I'm done thinking about this.

I know I should let it go, but I hate being taken in. Especially in light of the news I shared about how a person I looked up turned out to be a child molester. The fact that I'm gullible, when I thought I wasn't, is bothering me.

I know what my problem is. I see things how I want them to be rather than how they are. I could change that, but that would mean me changing and I like the fact that I see the best in people rather than the worst. But I fear that I will always be taken in by various scamers, if I don't develop a BS detector like Bert, but I don't like what that would do to me as a person.

Lester,

I got suckered too. I hate being uused, and maybe I should look before I leap. it was as if he held a basket full of kittens when he spoke. All I saw was the cute kitties.

I fear you are Looking for a major change. You the Lester we know and love, is that worth changing?

About the friend you knew. Again child molesters are very smooth and know how to gain your trust. They are friendly, charming, and try their hardest to lure children and people into a false sense of security.

I am postive you were not the only one decieved. Don't beat yourself up, but see what you can learn from this once the anger has cleared.

We have all be suckered by sympathy stories or so-called friends who took far more than they gave. I would be lying if I said it was easy. With experience you will be as focused as other people in detecting certian aspects.

I am 100% sure you will be fine as is. We all learn and grow. Also you are not a mind reader. How were you to know how bad that guy was?
