No the creators just wanted to show how dark it is in Dark Times the name of the series. It's a lot like Negation an epic space opera of a group of powered and nonpowerd human and aliens taking on the bad intergalactic empire and it's god emperor. It's even has the same black humor as Negation. And like Negation their quest is destioned to end in failure because we know who takes down Vader, the Emperor and the Empire in the Star Wars universe and it sure as hell isn't Bobo Greenbark.

I think it's a fine. The police is supposed to enforce it, but they admitted months before that they had no way of fully enforcing it. I think they would check when they stopped cars at checkpoints.

Yea, there'd be no way to tell as a person is driving along what the tread on their tires looks like. They'd have to justify the stop, and it'd be easily argued. It would have to be one of those 'add-on' fines when ya DO get stopped.

It used to be they would charge five cents a day for your books with a max charge of five books for all your books no matter how long you had them.
