We don't even use the Chicago style ad we live here. All of my sources in my collegiate papers have been in the MLA or APA format. Me personally I prefer APA over MLA as it's simpler.

‘Heroes’ Star Hopes To Land Robin Role

In the past year, Milo Ventimiglia has become one of the most famous “Heroes” in all the world. But if the actor ever lands his dream role, Peter Petrelli will have to step aside and make room for the most famous sidekick in comic book history.

During a recent interview to promote his upcoming thriller “Pathology”, the 30-year-old actor could barely contain his excitement for co-star Zachary Quinto’s recent appointment as Mr. Spock in next year’s “Star Trek” movie. Remembering an early conversation they once had on the “Heroes” set, Ventimiglia marveled at the fact that Quinto said his dream role would be to play Spock - a part he landed just a few months later.

Naturally, the talk then turned to the role Ventimiglia had chosen as his dream gig. His answer? “Robin,” he grinned, referring to the embattled Batman buddy most recently seen in the person of Chris O’Donnell in the late Nineties.

When reminded that Dick Grayson typically signals the downfall of a Batman franchise, Ventimiglia insisted that current Dark Knight mastermind Christopher Nolan could bring enough of an edge to the character to make him worthwhile. The “Heroes” star added that he was a big fan of Nolan’s “Batman Begins,” and that if the writer/director ever put out a casting call for a Robin in a future Batman flick, he’d move faster than The Penguin at an umbrella sale.

“They’ve never done it right,” he added, explaining why Robin has always seemed so dorky in the past. Asked how he’d change the Robin story, Ventimiglia offered up a single word that speaks chapters to comic fans: “Nightwing.”

For those unaware of the storyline, “Nightwing” is a moniker Robin takes on as a tribute to Superman, then uses while trying to escape from Batman’s shadow. Clad in black, the acrobatic hero is typically associated with The New Teen Titans, and is considerably traumatized when Batman hires a new Robin that is seemingly killed by The Joker.

Naturally, if Nolan were to ever address Robin and/or Nightwing, it would be his prerogative to alter the origin story as he saw fit. But, with Ventimiglia’s look and athleticism, he would be a perfect choice for the role if it were to happen in the next few years. And if this Boy ever gets to fulfill his Wonder, remember you heard it here first.

Would you want to see Robin in the next film after “The Dark Knight”? What do you think of Milo playing the character? Holy casting possibility, Batman!

My Mom works in a nursing home, and just about every day there is someone there set in their racist ways. She tells me stories, and I know I could never work in the medical field. It takes a special person who is giving, kind, and thoughtful to work with people in spite of their ignorant ways.

At last I was able to talk with a grad school rep, after playing phone tag, and hunting numbers, plus being referred to others...

Well, nothing is "official" yet, so I don't know the full difference between my contemporary writing program or the professional writing program that has replaced it.

Until the new SCAD physical catalog is produced (next month), I will not have an accurate "official" comparison between the programs. Only after I sit down with my advisor and discuss the changes, will I know what I have to take. I have to find which classes are the correct equivalent or I'm screwed.

I'm a bit grouchy, and indifferent, as I like where I am, but I have to go through so many changes, yet the dramatic writing program might be worthy as it is geared more to creative writing (unless they change that one too a year later).

When he retired he had enough money left over to buy me a new car, put a down payment on my condo, and he purchased himself a house. He even paid off my brother's credit cards and still has a substantial savings account.

However my dad has never, or will ever be a part of the digital age. Last week he came home excited as explained the functions of a mouse and how if you double clicked on something you can start it. He went on and on for hours about this. He was so excited about it, that when he repeatedly said I bet you didn't know that, I told him no I didn't.

One of my best friends is Pakistani, and she always tells me that when her mom (we all call her mom ummi, which is Urdu for "mom") is really pissed off, she starts ranting in the Urdu equivalent of ghetto slang. It cracks her up, but she tries not to laugh.

This is also the same woman who has a very distinctive hand gesture that she reserves for when she lectures people. My friend has been making fun of it for years. When I finally caught ummi doing it, I had to endure the lecture without cracking up. My friend and I were about fit to burst!

He had lung cancer, but he died of a heart attack in his sleep, which is a blessing. Apparently, with his age (he was in his 90's), his ticker just couldn't keep up with the cancer and gave out. For that, actually, we're all grateful.

It was good to see the family. I swear, Dominicans reproduce like bacteria. I forgot how many of us there are until the aunts, uncles, and cousins got in a room together. Even for a "small get together" celebrating his life, we were bursting at the seams. He was definately loved.

Anyway, not trying to be a downer. Long and skinny of it is that I'm back and thank you for the welcome! :D
