Just a thought that occurred to me...watching the animated Hellboy flicks, I often get a vibe similar to watching the Gargoyles cartoon (which was a great show). There's a similarity in terms of atmosphere and the high quality of the storytelling.
And then it occurred to me, since the animated Hellboy and Gargoyles both have comics right now, a comic crossover would be a match made in heaven (in my opinion), particularly since it would be pretty easy, from a storytelling perspective, to manipulate both factions into fighting one another (e.g., someone convinces the BPRD that the Gargoyles are dangerous).
I know a lot of people here are down on crossovers, but it's happened with the comic Hellboy (Ghost, Savage Dragon, Batman), and I think this one would be cooler (and more logical) than most.

My ultimate Cross-Over would be HellBoy vs The Demon.
Hellboy battling Etrigan with a possible family link between them? How can HB battle someone as powerful as Etrigan and then don't forget Jason Blood and his entourage.

Hm, I am usually one of those folks who does not like cross-overs, but I think the two shows would sort of be okay. I would at least watch it.

I eagerly await the Hellboy Animated - Hamtaro crossover. C'mon, look at Hamtaro. He's just radiating supernatural EVIL:

He must be sent back into the ghastly abyss from which he spawned!

I've done a Hellboy/Labyrinth (1986) crossover and yes, it makes sense when you read it. I hate it when an author just has the main character wake up or walk through a door or something and suddenly they're in this other universe, very annoying and bad planning as far as I'm concerned.
A Hellboy/Buffy the Vampire Slayer crossover is just begging to happen, but I haven't got any ideas for a plot. Yet.
The crossover that's been simmering on the back burner is a Fantastic Four/X-Men/Hellboy crossover. Bear with me for a sec. Imagine, if you will, Liz Sherman in a bar enjoying a nice glass of wine when Johnny Storm/The Human Torch and John Allerdyce/Pyro both happen by and they both try to impress her. Just a thought. A twisted and demented thought, but a thought none the less.:D :D :D

When I was a children's nanny (and what a dragon I was!), way back when the world was young and days were mellow, Gargoyles was very popular.
My youngest called it Gargles.

As a side note, the first season and the first half of the second season are both out on DVD. Unfortunately, the DVDs haven't sold as well as Disney would like so they're not going to release the second half of the second season in the forseeable future. So if you liked the show or know somebody how does, go out and buy the DVDs.

They have part of the second season out now? Awesome! Where are they selling them(keep in mind I'm way to frightened of identity theft to buy online)? My local Wal Mart (where I bought the season 1 DVD) doesn't have it (apparently it has to be a Super Wal Mart to have the good stuff[and yes, I am using a lot of parenthesis]).

I got mine through Amazon, but I've also seen it at Best Buy. I believe that if they're out you can just ask them to order one for you and they'll have one shipped to the store.

I read that one a while back. Given how many crossover fan fics I've seen -and written m'self- that was certainly one of the more well-thought out and well written stories. I actually did *try* to do a few illustrations (if anything to test how I could do pictures that aren't just pin-ups) from it, but it's gotten on the back-burner behind writing my own OGN and work. =/ Maybe someday...
Hellboy is a very tricky thing to even try and crossover -though Shadowcat's story is a good example of how to do it *right*- but if I'd like to see it crossed over with something, hm. I dunno. Hard to say really. I guess Devilman comes to mind, but that'd only work as a pin-up type standalone picture. I'd do that m'self, but dark/macabe just isn't my styyyyyyyyyyyyle.
Sparky: I have a pair of friends who are huge Hamtaro freaks AND draw pretty darn good in the official style. I'll have to either ask or bribe one of them to do a Hellboy ham ham one of these days. ;]

Oh, wow, thanks, EL. I wasn't trying to toot my own horn, but it is one of the stories that I'm rather proud of. Not that I'm not proud of all of my stories, but that one has a special place in my heart.
