Anyone else following this in either the Manga or the Anime form? What I've seen of the Anime kicks ass. Is it worth checking out the Manga or is the transition from Manga to Anime pretty straightforward with this series?

Got into this with Viz's manga releases, and I'm loving it thus far. Some kickass action, if you're okay with gore.

The gore is a little heavy, but the action is intense. Some of the shock moments are well done too.

I'd recommend it personally. I'm certainly enjoying it.

I love gore, but that's not the only reason why I enjoy the Anime. I also love the intricate plot involving Claymores and Awakened Ones. The action is also refreshing to see. This is probably one of my favourite series of this year.

I've read the manga and been spot checking the anime, overall very good adaption. the only difference is that the anime cut out some filler introductory stories (maybe 2/3 chapters worth?) in the beginning of the story. after that its been pretty much the same as the manga.
I personally love Claymore, I kinda see it as Berserk light, which is not a knock on Claymore, medieval/middle ages type setting with monsters running around some with truly awesome/horrifying character designs and a terrific story with tragic character. (and to be quite honest I can only take so much of women raping demons
Definitly take a look at the manga Viz did a fairly good job with it except for a minor edit, for those who care they edited out the penis of a mumified yoma
only bad this is that it only comes out once a month so realase are soooo long grrrr
Haven't seen the anime yet, though looking forward to doing so. The manga art work was what caught my eye at first, it's different and very beautifully done. The gore level's are high but not excessively or unecessarily so. The story is very interesting as well as the fight scenes.
I am actually curious as to the process of creating 'Claymores', how do the girls become infused with the demon DNA? How long does the process take? Is there anything else done, like training or preperation? What is the youngest age for a person to undergo this process? The only thing I know about it is that it is supposed to be very painful and difficult.
