The title says it all. One moment is was reading how Supes was send to the Phantom Zone by Zod, next month i read a story about his fishing trip which still could be taken into context as a filler but then totally different stories. What happened? Is there a delay of some kind because of the writer/art?

Thanks for listening to my rambling :p

This is the biggest problem with "fill-in" issues to cover delays.

DC knew the story you are referring to "Last Son" was going to be late so instead of not publishing the book, they decided to slip in some "fill-in" issues that would not stray too far away from the current story going on in "Last Son". Unfortunately, the delay appears to have gotten longer thanks to the artist on the title, Adam Kubert. Next month (Action Comics #851) will feature part 4 of the "Last Son" story you remember. Unfortunately after that we won't see the last two parts, 5 & 6, until Action Comics Annual #11. It's been a huge embarassment for DC and (in my opinon) Superman books in general.

Again the biggest problem with these fill-ins is if you don't use the internet to check comic news and just read them and that's that, how the hell would you know you are getting a fill-in? It just smacks of ridiculousness for a young kid who just reads comics b/c he likes Superman and doesn't wish or know he can go online to discuss. Yet another reason late-books are killing the industry from gaining any momentum.

I was pretty annoyed when I picked up the issue that was completely different.

I honistly thought I had missed some issues, I wish they wouldnt print any of them till they had all the parts ready to go.

I think the biggest problem is the advertising, it seems with this internet thing, you get all the info too quick. It makes i hard to stick with a timline, things happe to writers artists and all in between.
