The battle of the songs that make it OK to like Wham! and Take That, respectively.

Which song is better? Which song do you prefer?

Careless Whisper by a mile in both regards.

There are other songs by Take That that I like better too.

I love both songs, but 'Careless Whisper' wins. On some days, I prefer Take That's 'Everything Changes' to 'Back For Good', but that's when it's not raining.:D

George Michael is (was?) quite an amazing singer, and I really love the third verse of 'Careless Whisper' and the ending: 'now that you're gone... noooooww that you're gooone...'

Haha, I'm not alone! I get strange looks when I say I like Back For Good.

Not sure which one I would consider better. Will have to give Careless Whisper another listen (like the saxophone in it), although I actually find it pretty funny now after hearing it A Night at the Roxbury.

"Guilty feet have got no rhythm" might be one of the unintentionally funniest lines of all time.

"Back For Good" is the only Take That song I know, and I like it okay (it reminds me of a time before I knew about good music). I'm entirely unfamiliar with George Michael's music except for "Wake Me Up Before You Go-Go"

Which is clearly the greatest song of all time.

i'm gonna vote Take That 'cause i'm a huge fan of them (or at least of their stuff back in the 90's. not hot on their new album)

Now that I can't agree with.

And I'd pick Careless Whisper, if only for the sax solo.

Careless Whisper, although Back For Good is kind of good.

Careless Whisper hands down. George Michael is an extremely talented vocalist, it's just a shame that, generally, his material isn't so great.

Haven't heard Back for Good. One moment: <searches - finds on You Tube>

Oh, Careless Whisper, hands down. Despite it's link to a serial killer in Texas, Careless Whisper rules.

eh, CW has the advantage it came out first, thus making me like it at a time I was much less used to pop music.
I do like BFG a lot tho, but strangely I like Take That's current songs almost as much

I'm a huge George Michael fan and literally have every song he's ever recorded, but Back For Good is the better song. I still listen to it at least once a week. Careless Whisper is a great song but not even my favorite George song (Last Christmas is). Anyone who likes Back For Good owes it to themselves to by the new Take That album Beautiful World, its like a whole album in the style of Back for Good rather than that New Kids On The Block crap their old music was like. Also definitely check out Faith and Listen Without Prejudice ;)

Well, as much as I hated Take That at the time, I thought Back For Good was a great song.

Trouble is, I regard Careless Whisper as THE best song of the 1980's. Not 'one of', but THE best.

And I can't believe you guys are actually discussing this on a comics forum. Kudos, guys, kudos. :)

It's got to be Careless Whisper. I'd never heard the other song til a minute ago. It's ok....and it's funny to see Robbie Williams.
