Being the completionist that I am I really want to get one, but they're nowhere to be found... not even on ebay. A friend of mine won the Darkness Calls freebie from Pony Express, but it was only the comic & no print. So to get to my point, has anybody actually seen one of these? :rolleyes:

I'm beginning to think these are complete vaporware, Nick. I asked at my LCS also, but nadda. If you locate one, certainly post the info, bro.

Yeah, going the LCS route was a bust. Sadly, I don't think any in San Antonio or Austin ordered 40 copies of #1.

Not the print we're talking about, but I got a Darkness Calls throw-away when I bought my issue of the comic. It'll have to do for now.

My store tells me they'll guarantee me the print, should it ever ship.

I keep bugging my LCS too, and also checking another one, and nothing from either. And both of them ordered over 100 copies, so they should definitely have gotten them if they existed... It's a great print and I want it, so I really hope it's still forthcoming!!!

As I mentioned in another thread, the store I manage will be getting 4 of these prints. All Diamond UK has to say is 'Yes you have 4 ordered on your account, but they've been delayed...'

Sorry Danny, I'm in the UK. So that problem number one. Plus I have a feeling the remaining 3 (cause I'm nabbing one) will go to the other stores in our chain. But I have yet to receive them so this could all change...

My LCS is saying the prints are part of some contest, which I'm pretty sure is LCS code for, "I don't know what you are talking about, handsome Canadian!"

Just so you know Kelly Tindall, the deal was that a LCS would get one of these Darkness Calls prints for every 40 copies of the first issues of Darkness Calls they ordered. So if they didn't order enough, they won't be getting one.

Naturally I agree with everyone else's comments. Which only makes it all the more shame-o-riffic that we fans never got the chance to purchase one of these prints, as they......uh, never showed up, I guess?

STOP THE PRESS!!!

Just arrived this morning, in store, are three Darkness Calls prints. Very, very, VERY nice indeed. Each hand signed by Mignola (easy to tell seeing as the signature is ever so slightly different on each) and after a message from head office, we (Travelling Man) (http://profile.myspace.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=user.viewprofile&friendid=128502360) are selling them for £24.99 each.

Don't know for sure what other stores in our chain got them, but they've landed in the UK, so hopefully other stores around the globe should be getting them too.

Print measures 46cm by 61cm.

But on the board its shrink wrapped to that turn it to a 59cm by 76cm oblong (just so Jacob as an idea of how big an item will hopefully be heading his way)

Sorry Hellcats and kitties, I had to pull a little hustle and flow (by which I mean starting to bug people by calling months ago) to ensure one was in the wings for me and i could only get one. However, some concentrated searching should yeild you the prize. Keep in mind that this thing is large so if you're buying from afar, shipping will probably cost as much as the litho.

Quick stateside update: my LCS Atomic Comics here in PHX saved me one of these gorgeous prints, and I am now the very proud owner of a Darkness Calls signed lithograph!! Also, these are extremely reasonably priced- mine was $19.99, so hopefully other shops won't gouge the consumer on these.

yup..out by my job.they only got one of these..i think that the shop had to order 40 copies of Darkness Calls #1 in order to get these.I'm curious to know how many of these exist? :confused:

Well, if Mike signed all of them it can't be too many. 500 to 1000 maybe? I still can't believe how big the thing is... I thought it would be like 8 1/2 x 11" when it was solicited.

It looks great. I can't wait to get this baby framed & matted. I really like how they kept the lettering simple, and didn't crowd Mike's art with extra marketing stuff.
