If anyone here owns copies of DC Comics Presents #42 and 47 and can send me scans of the "Whatever Happened to...?" stories therein no later than Monday AM, I will see that they get a mention in the acknowledgements for All-Star Companion, Vol. 3. Send me a PM for contact information. Muchas gracias, gang!

Sorry Kurt - I think I sent you every Earth-2 story on your want list that I've got.
I used to have that book with He-Man, but I looked through some stuff last night and can't find it anywhere. It must be lost to the sands of time.

I've got #47, and I just scanned the first page, but I'm afraid the resultant picture isn't as clear as I'd want it to be; the colors seem to smudge, and the text is a bit blurred. Would you want me to try to clean it up, or send it to you as is?
EDIT: Nevermind--just took another look at the image, and it scanned in much better than I originally thought. Let me get all the pages scanned in, and I'll send 'em your way.

I have a complete set of DC Comics Presents, and a good scanner... I can get you the stories by late tonight. What size/dpi do you want?

Yay, Sam. I was going to post that I can probably locate #42 and get it out late tonight. So, if you need the back-stop let me know.

I knew I could count on my CBR buds to bail my sorry ass out. If Jessica will send #47 and Samurai sends #42, I can get both of you a mention (you'll need to PM me your real names). Thank you all for chipping in. Oh, and Sam? Whatever size/dpi is the least fuss, just as long as I can read the lettering. Maybe 80-100K a page?

Oh good. Glad SOMEONE had 'em.
I dug my DC Comics Presents box out - And 41, 43 and 46, but neither of those two.

Weird... I sent it last night. Is your PM box full? It can only hold 100 messages total, both incoming and sent.
I sent it again just now. But in case you don't get it again, I'll guess I'll just post the pictures here.

My real name is Tom Miskey, for the credits. Will this be an actual book, or an online publication?
I think your mailbox may be full. If you have 100 total messages in your inbox plus your sent folder, you won't receive any more messages. A full box is the usual cause of not getting messages, so clean out the box and see if that helps. (I usually don't save messages I send, and only some of those I receive).

This is for Volume 3 of Roy Thomas's All-Star Companion, tentatively scheduled to hit bookstores this November.

That's nice. For some reason The Sandman character always confused me. As I have never really read anything featuring The Sandman. What I always hear about is The Sandman by Neil Gaiman.
I hate to be negative--and bear in mind that I think I've gone on record here saying that I like jack Sparling's art--but that Sandman story has got to be among the poorest-drawn comics I've ever seen.
And I'm not pegging Delbo and Giella specifically--just seeing it brought back the memory of picking up far too many DCs in the late 70s-early 80s with this kind of art: dull, lifeless, stiff, by-the-numbers.
Makes me wonder why I kept buying the things.
