Though some parts look rushed, the panels I've seen of the main fights are better than I expected and I've definitely become more sanguine with him on the art chores.

Can't wait!

It's like I've said, Romita can draw a page that looks really rushed, that is immediately followed by a dynamic action sequence or something that is really cool...Honestly, I think he just gets bored drawing the exposition and flashbacky stuff and sorta just blows through it, but makes up for it with both the action and dramatic shots he can pull off.

No, WWH may not be as flashy as it would've been if, say, a Finch, or a McNiven, or a Hitch were drawing it, but thats not necessarily a bad thing. I'm pretty damn confident we'll get a memorable story.

And if anyone has doubts, I submit: Some of the best work Romita ever did. (http://comicartfans.com/GalleryPiece.asp?Page=1&Order=Date&Piece=263751&GSub=544&GCat=0&UCat=0)

If Romita can pull off WWH as well as he pulled off that, then I'd be perfectly content. ;)

Gotta say, that second panel on page 2 with the Illuminati's faces all distorted and laughing, you've got to wonder if that's the new look Iron Man's sporting these days. But I seriously cannot wait for this to be released.

Not a chance!...Not one moment of this job was rushed....It doesn't make any sense to rush anything and have YOU comment on it....I was well aware that, you, Hungr, would be scrutinizing this job...so I worked, painstakingly, on it....NOT ONE LINE was rushed!:-)

Funny you should mention that Spidey art....I put much more work into this Hulk stuff than I did the Spidey stuff....Oh well it's all subjective...or is it OBjective...I missed that day of school.:-)

I'm looking forward to this.

Really enjoyed Eternals - it was niche to see JRJr tackle something more 'epic' than the 'street-level' stuff he did on Spidey, DD and X-men. Hoping it rubs off in this Hulk series.

jrjr-If ANY of it is as good as Hulk smashing "Ugly Monster" on the dam then I'm sold.
Actually was sold with 'I wanna hear you scream' so ignore that.

Quick question: is there going to be a Hitchcock/Stan Lee moment of your wife looting Macy's in the evacuation of Manhatten?

Nah..never looting....My wife would pay under any circumstances....It's the itchy credit card finger!

I know that, I'm describing it, I'm just saying that Tony's armor seems to be sporting that kind of look nowadays to reflect his villainous status.

Yeah, I always thought your Spidey and your Daredevil (particularly "Man Without Fear" that you did with Miller) were stand-outs in your work, and honestly I hadn't even seen that spidey pic I posted till I went and googled you and found it, but I did remember liking the "Amazing SM" run with JMS a lot...

Well, what we've seen so far from previews and such with WWH is kicking ass man, keep bringin' it, and don't get yourself in a rush. :D

Well Mr. Romita Jr., if that's really you, I just want to say that your version of the Punisher is the best version anyone has ever done. Keep up the great work and I look forward to WWH!

Hrungr surreptiously switches John's IV... to decaf.

You are getting sleeeeepy John... Sleeeeeepy...

In WWH you are going to draw the Hulk turning the Sentry into a preeeetzel.

Preeeeetzellll....

This reminds me again how great it is to have the creators around, on any forum.

So, almighty JR JR, how does it feel to draw Thor again???

You gonna blame a guy for trying? Hey, it COULD have worked...
