Hellboy videogame

Sony had their Gamer's Day last week and Konami showed off a walkthrough of their adaptation of Hellboy in game form. It looks pretty good in action. Still early, but better looking than has been seen previously. It's coming to PS3, X360, and PSP later this year. There's new information about the gameplay, new footage, and our first listen to Ron Perlman's voicework for the game.

Do we have a release date yet?

None. Fall is as specific as I've heard. As with movies, release dates may change so, it may get pushed to 2008 for all I know.

I'm a bit less skeptical about it, after watching the footage, but I'm going to reserve judgement until I 1) have an Xbox 360 and 2) purchase and play the game. Heh. It definitely looks better than the PSP footage in the older thread, which looked boring and awful.

I'm assuming since this was a Sony event that they were showing off the PS3 build of the game. If you have a PS3, you can always just buy that version.

oh, and true enough...that PSP version just seems all sorts of bad.

I will be renting before I buy this one personally...and likely the 360 version.

I'll wait for the reviews. If it's as much a clone of God of War as some websites have suggested, then it could be lots of fun (I'm especially psyched about the co-op mode). But we'll see.
