All right, that's it. I don't care if it costs me, I'm opting for the variant cover that month. I'm sorry, but Ross' art does absolutely nothing for me, and his Power Girl is almost always the best example of the worst of his work. She's supposed to be strong and sexy for goodness' sake, not solely the former at the expense of the latter. Why oh why can't Eaglesham's be the standard covers for this series?

I agree, I'd much rather have the Eaglesham covers.

Fernando Pasarin did a worthy job on his first JSA issue. What has he done previously?

I'm just happy that Starman is sticking around after the JLA/JSA/Legion crossover.

I know this Starman is supposed to be "crazy", but the portrayal has been so unrealistic that it just comes across as silly. If he gets better during the crossover, I wouldn't mind if he stuck around. But if we keep getting Silly Starman, it's going to get really annoying.

So I guess that means Dream Girl dies in the arc.....bummer.

Hopefully Power Girl may find out that "her Earth" may be back. Which would leave her in the predicament of deciding whether or not to return to Earth-2 to live or not....

Can't wait. JSA is my top read each month. This story sounds fascinating. I can't wait to see the new Earth-2.

Yeah, I was thinking that too, but it could be something else entirely. Maybe all of this particular Legion decides to stay in this timeline. Maybe something unexpected happens and they get sucked into the future without Starman. Maybe Starman is displaced from another earth and realizes this isn't his Legion. Who knows? So I'm not counting Dream Girl out just yet.

Unrealistic? All he's done is act like a child on occassion and make off-the-wall comments here and there.

I have a friend, IRL, whom is almost as bad.

I want him to stay around, and remain pretty much exactly as he is for the time being.

How long is Ross doing covers for? I don't mind his covers for Justice Society, but they don't wow me. I mean, yeah, these are great iconic images of the characters, but you can only have people standing in front of a black backdrop so many times before it gets boring.

And he did the same thing two years ago with the members of the JSA then... really, these aren't very good covers. Good art, but not good covers.

Ditto here. I appreciate that Johns has introduced a lot of very different, contrasting personalities to this team. Starman brings a much needed touch of levity to the series. Keep Starman and keep him the way he is!

Has the Shadow Theif been showing up in the Lightning Saga issues like has he been in the JSA first few issues?

Lightning Lad is the key word. Is he the one they plan to bring back? Of course one will have to die for this to happen. I assume something will happen, a switch and quite possibly a JSA member is going to take that fall. They like the Legion, have enough to spare.

Are We sure it is even a legionnaire they want to bring back ?
they said that the Legion BIG THREE was still alive as well as few others and why come back to past if they wanted to reserruct a legionnaire not even born ? I think that might be someone else follow my eyes
as for Starman I'm completly crazy (no pun inteded) about this character, and Johns stated that evrything he said before had a meaning (for example all the legions references)

You mean Obsidian? No he hasn't been seen during the Lightning Saga. Though I think he might play an important role in an upcoming story (plus he'll be appearing in Manhunter when that starts up again).

I am not sure on the extent of his powers or if he has a shadow version of himself that lurks around the JSA HQ. But if not, then Shadow Thief has been popping up with no dialog in the last several issues of JSA. I last read # 04 and he was in the panel where Wildcat is talking to his son and walking towards the meet room. Then in the last two page splash, the shadow person is on the far left and even appears to be waving. So that may very well be something other than Shadow Thief.

It was #4. I said #8 originally. Obsidian is not in the splash page in costume so ya and he is waving.

That's Obsidian.

(well probably anyway, there hard to tell apart.)

He has done fill-ins on Ion and graphic novels in Europe called "Les Fils de la Louba" I think (sons of the She-Wolf).

And that is Obsidian, not Shadow-Thief.
