Hi guys,

Just a quick note that Chris Cornell, of Audioslave and Soundgarden fame, will be releasing his new album VERY shortly, June 5 in the US, May 25 in Japan, Australia & Europe!

Quite a few of the tracks have been showcased in some of Chris' recent concerts, including a "homecoming" concert in Seattle!

I'll be 100% honest here guys-I find his music from all throughout his 20 year career deeply touching, deeply personal, and always full of passion, and power. I truly believe that this album will be seen as a classic.

The instant the album drops in Australia, I will post a review on this very thread, and I'd encourage any Chris Cornell fans out there, to hop on board this album, and help "spread the word" that Chris is set for a huge 2007!

Here is a link to my fave song so far off the new album, plus videos that have been done so far!

"Safe and Sound"- http://youtube.com/watch?v=El_E9dK3NmQ

"Arms Around Your Love"- http://youtube.com/watch?v=-eq9rKmD4w8

"No Such Thing"-(warning-this one is pretty gory!) http://youtube.com/watch?v=O90wWp2BgrQ

Enjoy it guys! :-)

Yeah, I plan to get it.

I thought Euphoria Morning was a bit mopey, hope this is a bit more rocking.

I LOVE "Euphoria Morning", but yes, it is an intensely emotional album. A real mood piece. I love it for that, because Chris just lays it all on the line in that record, but from what we've heard so far off "Carry On" it is more of a mixture of sounds this time. Plenty of rockers, some slow ones, nice mix. I think it's going to be great!

He is the coolest guy in rock, writes great lyrics, plus what a voice! :-)

I gave up after four or five tracks. I hope you like it more than I do, Lantern.

Chris Cornell is godlike. I dled an Unplugged in Sweden show that he did, and it's awesome.

Just dled it, along with Euphoria Morning, which I haven't heard in years. I have high hopes.

Well, "Euphoria Morning" is SOLID GOLD, but this new one is very powerful and very diverse. Enjoy it, and let me and the other guys on the board know what u think! :-)

I liked Euphoria morning and I'll probably pick up his new album, but I doubt anything is going to replace Soundgarden.

Whoever keeps whispering into Cornell's ear that he's better suited as a solo star isn't doing him any favors. He's FN worthless solo, and is only within shouting distance of being relevant, or the slightest bit interesting when he's fronting a band.

I agree with this, but really, Soundgarden had run it's course. They had been together for a long time, and by the time Down on the Upside came out, he and Kim Thayall couldn't stand the sight of one another. The lack of creative juices really showed on that album.

I'm looking forward to getting this. I was kind of disappointed with Audioslave's most recent album. I LOVED Euphoria Morning. So this new solo album will be a treat.

I'll be 100% honest with you. I am a MASSIVE Audioslave fan, but I thought their last album was easily their weakest-I loved most of it, buI thought compared to the first two it was lacking something..

With THIS album Chris blows it all away and he just re-claims his rightful throne. Its AMAZING and very varied. You should definitely get it! :-)

Really? I feel the opposite, the last Audioslave was incredible, and I'm sad to see the band go, but at least we got three great albums from them.

This new solo album is good, but gets really repetitive after a while. It's hard to listen to the whole thing in one go.

I finally got it! I have to say, Chris Cornell is his most brilliant when he's solo. Carry On is a GREAT album. This made up for my disappointment in the most recent Audioslave album. And what I especially loved about this latest solo effort from him, is it seems to be his most "personal" songs to date. We get a little more insight into the mind of the man who is one of the greatest artists to come out of the 90's grunge scene.

Chris rules.

Why don't any of you like 'Revelations' - Audioslave? It is by far my favorite Audioslave record! It's super funky, and Cornell sounds great!

I liked 'Euphoria Morning' more than 'Carry On',

I can't wait to see Chris Cornell LIVE in concert in a few weeks, anyone else catching him on tour?
