I think the only news on it is that there will definitely be one. But as far as title, story, release date, etc...no real news, aside from the fact that Daniel Craig will be starring. I -think- they might be shooting for a 2008 or 2009 release date?

Apparentally Bond 22 will be a sort of direct sequel to "Royale" rather than another random adventure-going further into the mysterious organization behind Mr.White, Le Chiffre and Vesper....and apparentally we'll meet Vesper's lover in the film as well.Early word had it that it would be based on the Ian Fleming story "risico" but that was already adapted as FOR YOUR EYES ONLY....Although the original release date was Summer '08, that's been moved to the more traditional fall/winter November release date for Bond films.

I have to say that I love how Casino Ended, Craig standing there with a machine gun, no real resolution, looking smooth and ready to take on whomevers behind it all. To continue the story straight from there would be genius IMHO. Bond is back, people, and they're finally doing it right.

Agreed.
I loved how they even held off on using the Bond theme until that moment when he shows up with the machine gun wearing an impeccable suit with a smug smile on his face, channeling Connery.
For the very first time, I can't wait for the next Bond film.

It's beeen highly inplied (if not outright stated) that this will be a 3 movie Arc to restart the Bond Franchise. Craig has signed for all 3 movies.

The only thing I've heard about the next Bond movie is that the Olsen Twins might be in it, but, IIRC, I heard that in a Conan monologue, so take from it what you will.

To paraphrase the punchline:
"They say they have an interest in 007 since that is what is says when they step on a scale."
