Booster has basically been the walking Nascar of the DCU. He commits heroic deeds so he can gain notoriety, and make big $$$ off of endorsements.

There are so many covers from 52 that I would love turned into posters, particularly the one with Black Adam seated on his throne, surrounded by the devestation he created.

J.G. Jones' contributions to 52 will be featured in their own hardcover release.

It is on, bastiches. It. Is. On.

Is only the main 52 story being compiled, or are the backup HISTORY OF THE DCU and character profile entries being compiled too?

Sorry Buried, but the DC website says that volume 1 compiles the lead stories. I take that to mean that History of the DCU and Orgins of... aren't in there.

Oh that's really annoying. I didn't get past issue 13 of 52 purely because I couldn't afford it at the time and was hoping to pick up the trades but if it doens't have the History of the DCU bits in the back I might just try and pick up the monthlies cheaply on eBay or something. What're the odds they'll collect them all in a Secret Origins-style book?

Because he was endorsing soda in the very first issue of 52.

I am rather underwhelmed with this cover. I was expecting more given Jones' other excellent covers. I would have rather they just used the cover from 52 #1 for the TPB.

How many issues are collected in each volume?

Looks like anywhere between 11 and 13. Volumes 2 & 3 have 12 issues each; not sure about volume 1.

Looks great, but I'll be passing. I already blew enough dough on the individual issues, and with Countdown here, that collection would have to include an audio version narrated by Leonard Nimoy to get me to buy it.

I am somewhat interested in the trade detailing Jones' covers, however. Had they not been $2.50 a pop, I may have bought doubles of each issue of 52 to hang on my wall. Every last one of them was a work of art.

That might just be the best idea I've heard all week.
